I started by reading the second novel of the 12 in this series. It was enjoyable enough that I read the other 11 books in very short order. 🙂 It was not confusing to go back to book #1 and then jump to #3 as all of the Cedar Cove books are possible to read independently of each other. This series is not a big blockbuster type, but written about everyday life in a smallish town outside of Seattle. Cedar Cove is believable and realistic, full of love, friendship, success and heartache. Make a cup of coffee or tea and curl up with a lovely book.

6 Rainier Drive audiobook in series Cedar Cove

Although I enjoyed reading this book in the Cedar Cove Series, I was frustrated at so many stories going in at the same time. I think there were about 7. I feel no more than 4 would have been less confusing. I would be very interested in the story line, then it changes completely like I’ve picked up a different book. Then it takes several lines to remember the interest and plot and characters names of the different story line. She continually introduces New characters and stories without fading the others out. If I hadn’t been so dedicated in reading this, I’d probably not finished it. No doubt that Debbie Macomber is a good story teller, I would just ask she save a few for another book ! My favorite characters and story line remains the one if Olivia and Jack, and the

Audiobook 6 Rainier Drive by Cedar Cove

I love her books! I’ve read ten of her books since May of 2018. As I type, it’s October of 2018. Her writing is absolutely excellent! I’ll read her books as long as she keeps writing. She has a fabulous talent of drawing in the reader from one book to the other. I love Cedar Cove!! Thank you Debbie Macomber!!

Book 6 in the cedar cove series. I’m hooked. I usually don’t like book series… I mean how much can one couple go thru but this series is different. So many characters and stories to tell. At first it may seem confusing as each chapter moves to a different character. I like it how it keeps the old characters but adds new or goes more into the family tree. All centering in Cedar Cove. While some outcomes may be predictable but there’s bumps along the road and side stops that keep you interested. Hmmm like a literary soap opera with your favorite characters and plots. I have to keep reading so I know what happens to Teri and Rachel. Will the tearoom be a success? How will the mcafees deal with Linette leaving? Yep, I’m hooked….. 🙂

Audio 6 Rainier Drive narrated by Sandra Burr

I haven’t been expecting Shakespeare from a Harlequin writer. While recuperating from foot surgery, I’ve enjoyed the CC novels, especially b/c I love Andie MacDowell in the TV series. However, like the show, this book has less Olivia & more minor characters, deviating too much from the core family we fans have come to enjoy. It’s another page turner, but be prepared to create a character chart, as if you were in high school, to keep all of the seemingly random people straight. Will I continue with the series through to the end, the “Christmas” book? Yes, I will, but I’ll always be looking for more pages devoted to Olivia, Jack & Grace.

This sixth installment of the series about a small Washington town was, again, a fun read. Macomber has a way of refreshing your memory about the previous books without causing any “oh, get on with it” frustration. We are introduced to new characters and situations and all the plot lines were moved forward while the mystery is solved that started in another book and a new mystery introduced. I have enjoyed the entire series and feel as if I know the people. The characters are engaging and real; flawed but likable. I appreciate the clever use of each character’s address as a way of keeping the chronology of the series in order. I am looking forward to the 7th book out this summer (2007).
