Heavier Than a Mountain is chapter three of Destiny’s Crucible novel series. This science fiction and fantasy novel is written by Olan Thorensen. The author is quick time proved his worth as a brilliant writer of science fiction, fantasy, and time travel novels. This Destiny’s Crucible series is his most acknowledged work where another splendid title from the series is then Cast Under an Alien Sun. An even better experience from the same series is guaranteed with The Pen and the Sword novel.
Heavier Than a Mountain
The audio narration of Heavier Than a Mountain novel is done by Jonathan Davis. He is the consistent voice in the series and the performance of the man remains unbeatable throughout.
All that Joe ever wanted from life was to have some interesting job that could support his comfortable and quiet suburban style and his small family. But, a horrible accident sent him naked to some other planet. The planet was occupied by humans with the technology which was roughly around that of the year 1700. Joe is known as Yozef Kolsko now who made the difficult choice of his new life. He is married now with a child expected soon, and he is having a very respectable place in the new society. But, everything is not perfect or rosy here. He is part of a struggle that is far beyond any kind of dream that he ever had or even a nightmare.
This book was slightly lower on expectations of the people which they had after chapter two. The writing of the author was good but it was the missing balance between so much backstory and action which disappointed the listeners to some extent.
