I Knew You Were Trouble

I liked the earlier books of Paige Toon,, but must admit I was not too thrilled with this one, found it boring, here and there and then I realized this was a young adult book. Pity I wasn’t aware of it when I bought it. Not a bad book, but just not what I was looking for. Oh and with a book in this price range, I would not expect silly errors like some global find-and-replace action, causing Tom to appear as To m quite a few times….

Done it again, following on from where we left Jessie, she’s now home and adjusting to life as a rockstars daughter that no one knows about. Trying to enjoy what is left of her normal life before her secret life isn’t a secret anymore.
The characters in this book are wonderfully developed and the story continues to follow right through to the end.
Can’t wait for the next step in the Jessie Jefferson tale.

I knew you were trouble picks up right after Jessie arrives home. The summer holiday is over, and her daily life as a secret daughter of a famous rock star really begins. Who will she be able to trust her secret, and who should she trust her heart?

The Jessie Jefferson series has fast become an addiction for me. I LOVE Jessie. I love her tough and strong personality, and her very loving and caring sensitive side she shows with her new family. I love how she is with her brothers, and cry with her when she miss her mom. I was really a mess reading the pages where she break down, and grieves her mom’s dead. It was so strong and intense written, that I’m still tearing up just thinking about it.

And the boys has completely stolen my heart!
Tom is such a sweetheart! I was literally blushing when he entered the pages! Flirting in the school halls is so sweet to read about, and I just loved the anticipation, and chanted kiss her, kiss her in my head the whole time.
But I also have to admit that upcoming rockstar Jack is messing with my feelings too. That boy gives me lots and lots of feelings, and it’s no wonder Jessie doesn’t know her own head, when she’s with him.

There was tension of the flirty and even of the life dangerous kind and the pages just flew by. It was so good.

I’m anxiously anticipating the last book!

Paige’s books never disappoint me, this one is no exception. I love her style of writting, I couldn’t put it down as usualy.
