I almost never buy short story or novella entries in a series that I like. Especially if I suspect that it might be some throwaway story for the holidays. However, I loved The Nothing Girl and was saving The Something Girl, so I bought Little Donkey. Besides the fact that this has one of the funniest scenes that I have ever read, there are important events here for my characters (book friends) that I would have missed. Once again, our brilliant Jodi Taylor has made me laugh and cry. Do not miss this part of the series.

This is a sweet story but first be sure to read The Nothing Girl so you know where the donkey comes from. These stories are perfectly written and this story and The Nothing Girl are totally different from the other books I’ve read by Jodi Taylor. I like her style and would read everything she has written or will write. Get her books.

Best Christmas story yet this holiday season. Full of humor and love and charm. I dont know this author but I will definitely be looking for her books. I like her style. The narrator was lovely.

Audio Little Donkey (Frogmorton Farm #1.5) narrated by Lucy Price-Lewis

I have read all the ‘St. Mary’s’ novels and crave for more. The title of this book, with the illustration of the cover, made me think it was perhaps a children’s book. I finally gave in and read the synopsis. It sounded interesting. I got started on the book and had a difficult time setting it down.
It’s Jodi Taylor’s sense of humor that is wound through her books that fascinates me and makes the reading of each so enjoyable. I’m anxiously awaiting anything from this author. Hurry!!!!

This is what should have been the last part of ‘the nothing girl’. It’s Christmas and Jenny is almost due with her first child with Russell. Little donkey Marilyn is asked for the nativity play in church, which causes mayhem in the household. Plus Jenny is waiting for Thomas who has promised to return for the birth.

I love these characters. Very English. I only wished they would say I Love you!!
