I love this book! I enjoyed listening to this book and how he gives the necessary detailed steps on what we can all do to make change. I binged this in a couple of days. Shaun and his crew put this book together beautifully. The music is great. The amazing people he has introducing to each chapter is great. This book keeps your attention and is great to encourage you to take action and make change. Im buying a copy for my partner!

In the beginning, harshly criticizing George Washington, and in the middle \”…you cant name a revolution or a revolutionary who didnt have real struggles or flaws it comes with the territory.\” The double standard for what is \’just\’ or \’unjust\’ is glaring, and solely subjective. Shaun King is a gifted writer, speaker, and the book was an easy listen – albeit based virtually solely in feeling, emotion, and subjective opinion. The dearth of objective fact, sources, or reliable standards is unfortunately not unexpected, but still disappointing.

Audiobook Make Change: How to Fight Injustice, Dismantle Systemic Oppression, and Own Our Future by Shaun King
Just a couple of chapters in on the just-out Make Change by Shaun King and I am riveted. He is compelling. Kings personal story, son of a white woman and a black man in America, very light-skinned, seen as black, set in the violent history of his town, is chilling. Kings narration is charged yet contained, down-to-earth, highly focused. He connects the dots, more like connecting the wires. King is electrifying; I have to remind myself to breathe. Nothing theoretical about this; hard-won experience and results.
