Mr. Nobody

It’s just terrible. I hate-read the last half and then threw the book in the garbage. Save yourself and read some Oliver Sachs instead if this subject interests you.

OMG! This book was so good! Every twist and turn was fabulous. I never did figure out how it would end. If you like a good thriller, read it!

This book was nowhere as good as Something in the Water. Kept my interest some of the time, but was drawn out and not very viable. The ending was terrible…completely unbelievable, and the “epilogue” was pretty cheesey. Would not recommend at all.

The story did not keep my interest. The main character had a horrible thing happen to her but you had to read over half the book before you found out what happened. Disappointing as I loved her First novel!

Interesting premise. The story starts out strong. Wounded man found wandering a deserted beach with no memory of his identity. Neuropsychiatrist, Emma Lewis, is brought in to assess the strangers condition, in an effort to determine who he is. The hospital staff dubs him, Matthew, becoming increasingly fond of him as he commits heroic and compassionate acts while at the medical facility. Yet, Emmas guarded and complicated past makes her wary of Matthew, even though she is fascinated by his rare type of memory loss. All of this makes for an engrossing read for the first half of the book. Excellent pacing and solid suspense, then the story begins to falter. In terms of plot, how can this possibly and plausibly end? Steadman seems to bring the book to the only available conclusion, given all the momentum that came before. It feels anticlimactic and bizarre, but somehow unavoidable. The book seems to lose some traction midway through, but several twists and turns along the way still keep the pages turning. Overall, a fast, entertaining read.
