Out to Canaan audiobook free

I’m obsessed with this series and I don’t know how I managed to allow myself a little break. Anyway, break over and into this one which mainly deals with the preparation period before Father Tim retires. You need to have read at least the previous book to be able to enjoy this one. Father Tim is now in his mid-sixties and happily married to Cynthia. They’re working out the details of where they’ll live once he retires and the consensus is that they are going to extend Cynthia’s little house next door. One of the major themes is they mayoral race because the mayor has a wily opponent with something shady going on behind the scenes. The issue of Sadie’s old house, Fernbank that needs to be dealt with. We have our usual glimpses of Dooly and some of our other favourite secondary characters. I missed the Audible narrator and the character voices he put on, because I read this book instead of listening to it. I think the next one will have to be on Audible again. I can’t wait.

Out to Canaan audiobook in series Mitford Years

A stupendously written book that I’m sure I’ll come back to again and again. Coming from a small town, well relatively small, I’ve enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the Father Tim books. This one will not disappoint if you love that style as well. Father Tim is thinking of retirement and all the blessed things that come with it. His lovely wife is writing a new book and there are always adventures when Dooley is around. Enjoy!

Audiobook Out to Canaan by Jan Karon

I struggled getting into the first book, but every one since has just been like going home to see family. I love reading the stories of Fr. Tim, Cynthia, Dooley, and all of the wonderfully amazing citizens of Mitford. It just feels like the perfect little down that everyone would love to be a part of. I cant wait to read the next one!

Audio Out to Canaan narrated by John McDonough

This book was a gift for my sister who is a Mitford series fan. I gave it 5 stars because she told me she LOVES it! She didn’t elaborate why. I know from the few books from this series that I’ve read that the stories are endearing, interesting with characters that are real and likeable. There is enough real-life drama included that the episodes are lifelike with spice yet always uplifting and entertaining.

As Father Tim and Cynthia prepare for his retirement, they find much need to serve in Mitford. They open their hearts and their home to help and to show love to those who desperately need it.
Meanwhile, the mayoral election looms, and Mayor Esther Cunningham faces a serious challenge. Plus, someone is buying property in the town and working hard to buy more. Who is behind these offers?
Love, forgiveness, redemption, and healing are major themes in this novel.
I highly recommend this novel.
