Straight Up: Honest, Unfiltered, As-Real-As-I-Can-Put-It Advice for Life’s Biggest Challenges

I was listening to a podcast by Trent Shelton… he popped up on my feed about 18 months ago… I didnt think much of him at that time.. I didnt relate to what he was talking about…and I didnt like how he delivered the message… I judged him without knowing his story…plus I was prejudiced with all the tattoos…never ever judge a book by its cover…
Anyway.. his message resonated with me… Im not going to go into a lot of detail here… he said something that spoke to me as to how I have been living my life since Albert died… I was living life like the end of a sentence…by putting a period at the end… he died….s I felt like my life is over too…period. I saw every obstacle since his death as unsolvable another burden to bear… grief and depression took over… and it seemed easier to just give up…. and then Covid really did a number…but then Trent goes on to explain that no matter what we go through… to never put a period at the end of the sentence … use a semi-colon instead… because my life isnt over… and God isnt finished with me yet…the sentence pauses using a semi-colon; but then continues….
A bend in the road is not the end of the road… we dont see whats ahead…but the road takes on a new vista… Im understanding this more and more… I need to take more frequent trips to the beach…it really does help calm the mind…give me better perspective on life… but since February it was not possible so I slipped backwards….but Im discovering that anywhere in nature is great…. my biggest problem is that I **overthink** and end up making a mountain out of a molehill…. thats another reason I do miss Albert … he always had a calm mind… which kept me calm… since he died…Ive been like a ship without a rudder…. but Im learning how to navigate through the rough waters.. I do have control… I just lost it for awhile…
Trents latest book is a thousand times better than his first… Straight Up… its a must read…

The book arrived in mint condition, packed in a small box with giant bubble wrap under it.
Started reading it and it immediately starts with Trents experiences. He adds to this books his own life experiences and it makes you get to know Trent, the REAL Trent.
I already love this book! he is a light in my darkness and I appreciate him so much!

Bought this for my daughter. She hasnt finished reading yet but we all know… Trent Shelton opens his mouth & its all very touching, helpful, inspirational, & will touch you in some way. Hes always got a word for someone because we all are going through things in life. He is my favorite because he keeps it real 100%.

Lost in your life?? Want to know about yourself, forgiveness, friendship, and ect and Dont know what to do in certain situations buy this book. Trent is amazing. Easy to read which I love so much.

I have been working my way through this. That is not a difficult read nor is it boring. To get the most out of this experience you have to investigate yourself and you are the authority of yourself when you have a navigator directing your journey. A great amount of guidance and self-exploration can be found inside this book. I appreciate Trent Shelton’s guidance words and authenticity.
