POV books give a more detailed insight into the characters thought and emotions. This is no exception. The aliens are very alien, cruel, bloodthirsty, predatory. So what happens when they shapeshift into a human? They experience human emotion. Even humans find emotions sometimes overwhelming. An alien who has been taught never to feel anything? Kind of like drowning when he discovers love, compassion, empathy. He returns to his planet, never able to forget the human lover he left behind. And then he finds her, in an experimental program designed to implant human females with fetuses, only to let the fetuses grow, eventually killing the mother. The babies are also dying, but that doesn\’t matter. Earth has an endless amount of females to sacrifice for their research. He won\’t let her die in a lab. And when he gets her away with the help of some friends who have also been to Earth, he makes a startling discovery. His mate is getting better. His baby was conceived on Earth, part human, part Fiori. He doesn\’t care that she may hold the key to preventing the Fiori extinction. He only knows he\’ll do anything to keep her and his child safe…

I have read several books by the authors but this one just left me flat. The characters were weak and if the intention was to parlay fear instead of weakness, it was not successful. I had a hard time sticking to it to finish reading, but was then disappointed with the ending. Just seemed to stop, but I really wanted to know more. I realize that there are restrictions but at least finish the story for the reader!

I loved it. I need to know more about this new family. I hate to be left hanging. Will they be able to have a healthy child? I felt her pain as well as his. I sometimes wonder about new life out there besides ours. This book made me think more about this. Just fantastic, glad I had the chance to finish reading it. I believe I want to raad more books by this writer.

I wanted to like this book, but honestly I wanted to dunk the heroine\’s head in a toilet and hold it there. An entire race, supposedly emotionless but gets off on torture. The end \”SPOILER\” is solved by him throwing his father down…seriously? Half the population is miraculously fixed? I\’d go on; however it\’s not worth my time.

Wow what a story.Once you start reading this you won\’t be able to put it down.I have never felt sorry for an alien race before but these aliens are just cruel beyond words.They take and take and then get rid of everything.
