Decent book….but misses the biggest issues. What is the cause of the rapid rise in food allergies? The author claims that climate change is one of the main factors….come on, just ridiculous. The authors extensive conflicts of interest listed in the back of the book shows that she is heavily funded by big pharma and therefor could never provide an objective view. The two most prevalent reasons for the rise of food allergies are vaccines and pesticides. The first is never mentioned and the second barely made it into a sentence. Doing research on just the basics of vaccines in kids show that due to the adjuvants in vaccines it causes the body to attack any ingratiates in a vaccines or taken around the time of a vaccines, hence how the body learns to fight off measles, mumps, etc. So if traces of peanut oil, wheat/gluten, and dairy are found in vaccine ingredients or consumed around the same time as a vaccine….your body will think it\’s something bad and attack it. In stead of focusing on pharma products and clinal trials to heal…why not go to the source of the problem to prevent future people from dealing with this horrible issue.

Audiobook The End of Food Allergy: The First Program to Prevent and Reverse a 21st Century Epidemic by Kari Nadeau Sloan Barnett
I had to rebut a 2 star review by a non-scientist that said this book “misses the biggest issues.” I can tell you the biggest issue for food allergy parents is how to keep our children from dying. Immunotherapy does just that. Dr Nadeau treated my child for peanut allergy which not only enabled them to eat peanut without anaphylaxis, it greatly helped the severe anxiety they developed about accidentally eating peanut. This book outlines Dr Nadeau’s life changing immunotherapy treatment. We feel so fortunate to have been accepted into one of Dr Nadeau’s immunotherapy clinical trials, which truly was life changing for our whole family.

You don\’t often get to read a book knowing you\’re hearing from the world\’s leading resource on a subject. With this book, you are. Kari\’s work is the research that all other doctors base their practice on. This is an incredible book and I love the call to arms at the end about what our society, and leaders, can do to make allergies a thing of the past.
