The world of flesh and blood is all about connections, those with connections can get away with anything even murder. Billy Halleck a fat or overweight person is the man with connections. Being a lawyer he has spent his life with the upper class and he knows all about the dirty secrets of those in power.
Whether it is judges or lawyers he knows everyone to the core so when he needs anyone of them they won’t hesitate to help him by any means possible. It was a bad day when Billy got drifted off mentally during driving and his car slammed a poor woman on the street. A hit and run case was leveled against Billy as he was called to the most familiar place in his life i.e the courtroom.

The company of friends and co-workers saved him because there was no one to defend the case of the old lady who got murdered on the road. Just when Billy thought that he got away with the most serious case of his life he was caught by the father of the woman who died in the accident. The father just uttered one word i.e thinner and after that he let Billy go. Day after day the fat belly of Billy started becoming thin and the lawyer lost weight more quickly than he expected.
It was like a devil that was eating him up after the curse and Billy knows what he has to do i.e find the one who cursed him. Stephen King the creator of The Stand and The Institute and so many other crazy books like these again bring his fiction into the real world.
His fiction is so detailed that one just cannot say no to believe it. Joe Mantegna has narrated the courtroom scenes better than the scenes in which Billy got cursed. The scenes needed a grave sound which Joe didn’t try to deliver; anyhow the rest of the novel is superb.
