Til Valhalla

Hello All
I wanted to write and say that I have read many Mech Books in my time from Battletech and Mechwarrior ones, but by far Richard Fox is the best author in telling a great story with some great humor mixed in. He gives great detail and his characters are ones where you really care what happens to them. I have read and reread all of his books, they are so great that you don’t want to put them down even though you know that you need to go to sleep. I would HIGHLY recommend any of his books to anyone who loves this type of story.

I’m not sure what I expected with this book but I sort of expected more. Basically it gives you some hints of what happened before Earth was wiped out. But it doesn’t really go into too much detail about the Crusade or This World War 3 with China that led to the current political set up before the annihilation. We see some of the main characters and we get hints of the personality of the main characters but that’s about it. There will be a follow-up book and which will tie into the beginning of the Amber Series where Humanity is exterminated on Earth. I assume it will be very depressing.

A tale about Armor that takes place before the Ember wars during the Chicom conflict lauded to during the Ember series with a appearance of Lt. Hale , Standish and more. Great read for the diehard fans of the books and a great stand alone read for the uninitiated.

Loved the action and the characters, for the most part. Would like to know more about Sigmund though. Not sure how I feel about the cameos of the characters from the Ember War, but if read in chronological order once written…
Cant wait for the next one.

I love the Armor. And it was a blast to see the young Iron Hearts and the rest of the crew in the early days
