Essentialism
Is there ever a time when you have discovered yourself to be stretched too shrill? Do you experience a time when you tend to feel underutilized and overworked? Do you find yourself busy a lot of time but not much productive? Do you think that your time is hijacked constantly due to the agendas of other people? If you answer yes to one or more of the questions given here then one of your finest way out will be the Way of Essentialist. It doesn’t mean to get more stuff done in lesser time.
It is all about getting the right things done. It is not a strategy that you would relate with the time management or with the productivity technique. It is all about a methodical discipline for confirming that what is actually essential and then eliminating out everything which isn’t. Once this is done then we could make the topmost contribution towards the things that matters a lot.
Essentialism in short is a movement for which the time has come. The book is great and could have been a lot better if it was slightly shorter. You will find the book dense with the information and it is very well written and organized as well.
