Leopard’s Wrath (Leopard People #11)

I was a bit disappointed in this book. One reviewer mentioned that this was basically porn, and I sort of agree. It was a lot of sex and I didn’t quite get the emotional connection with it that I normally do. Most of the sex scenes were Mitya being dominating and it was mostly about pleasing him. And yes Ania did have fun too but it left a sour taste in my mouth. The book was more about the sex then it was about the relationship. Also with Mitya being very dominating and controlling I found that most of their relationship is him giving commands. Ania was raised to be a strong woman, who can drive insanely well in street racing and in her free time trained to become a sniper. I felt that a woman like that should be more equal in the relationship and a bit more aggressive. But she seemed fine with it all as long as she got a garage to design cars. I did not like the scene where Mitya murdered her father. And yes I went with murdered and not humanely euthanized. That was heartbreaking to me and definitely made it harder to like Mitya even though I understood the reasons behind it. I felt that this story stopped short of completion. I feel like there should be more to the ending to help bring about closure for some issues. This is one of the few stories where I almost dislike the male protagonist. I look forward to other releases by Christine Feehan.
