The science-fiction fantasies look better and larger than life when they are written by Larson. One great example of his work on the subject genre is Glass World. Another good example for you is his Edge World.

Edge World
James McGill along with the Legion Varus are deployed for protecting the Edge World. It is a planet that rotates at a very slow or a walking pace. Each day on that planet is as long as one year on the planet Earth. The sun side of the planet Earth is extremely based with a touch of endless sunshine there. On the flip side, the night part is extremely freezing and it is full of weird creatures as well. Living somewhere in an inhibited area on one corner of the world where there is a shadow amid day and night, the nomadic people are seen roaming the planet. It is the inhabitant forces of the Earth that should protect the Earth.
The three-fleet coverage here includes the Skay, the Mogwai, and the growing armada of the planet Earth. Peace talks were organized but then James McGill was seen opening his big mouth and then the things go too badly.

Narration is the strongest part of this chapter and it always has been in the Undying Mercenaries novel series. The storyline right from the start has been strong as well. The world created by Larson is magnificent and so are his characters.
