Patterns in the Dark is chapter four of the Dragon Blood novel series. It is a science fiction and fantasy novel which is written by Lindsay Buroker. She is an American author of high fantasy, science fiction, steampunk, and other adventures. The Blade’s Memory novel from the author is a highly rated one. Secrets of the Swords 2 is also a highly rated novel that Lindsay Buroker has written.
The narration of this novel is done by Caitlin Davies. It was a good job done by the narrator by allowing different voices for different characters. You will be able to distinguish between the different characters with ease.
Patterns in the Dark
Everybody has the idea that dragons have been extinct from this world some 1000 years ago. In reality, everybody is wrong to think like that.
At least one dragon is still there and there is military science who are experimenting with his blood. Those scientists are from the Cofah Empire who are employing magical substances to power the lethal new weapons. Those weapons could be destructive enough to bring the entire world on its knees. That is a big concern from Cas, Zirkander, and the remaining of the Iskandians.
But, Tolemek is only interested to locate his missing sister. The last time when they were together was when their father locked her in a mental asylum. It was because of her extreme mental illness which seems to have no cure then. The military has taken control of her now. Tolemek is sure that his sister is in danger now. He has to save her before things go out of control.
