Ninth House is the first chapter of a brand new series with the title of Alex Stern. It is a fictional bookmarked as a classic. It is written by Leigh Bardugo who is a fantastic writer of fantasy and young adult fiction. Six of Crows and Shadow and Bone are the best novels written by the author so far.
The narration of this chapter is done by the duo of Lauren Fortgang and Michael David Axtell. The narration was superbly done and you will enjoy it thoroughly.

Alex Stern is regarded as the most unlikely individual of the freshman class of Yale. She was brought up by a hippie mom in Los Angeles. Alex dropped out of her school at a very young age and went right into the world of drug-dealing boyfriends. She was also into some dead-end jobs and much worse. At the age of 20 only, she was the only survivor of an unsolved and horrific homicide. Some people might say that she has thrown away her own life. But, Alex was given another chance while she was on the hospital bed. The chance given was to attend one of the most prestigious institutes of the world for a full ride. But, what is the catch here and why is she the only chosen girl for the grand opportunity?
The Ninth House was one of the most anticipated novels of the year when it got published. It was good but still not right there among the top novels of the time. It was probably due to a lot of flashbacks in this story which was a bit boring and distracting.
