Alabaster Noon (The Omega War #12)

This book wraps up the Omega War series, but it’s not the end of the Four Horsemen Universe. If you’ve read the previous offerings in the Revelations Cycle, and the Omega War series, this book will tie off several arcs, but it still leads to many more. It may be worth your time to re-read the anthologies. (I was halfway through, but will re-read the last two, now that I’ve finished this book.)

There is a lot of action here, and a lot of bodybags will be needed. There are moments of despair, and moments of hope. There is revenge. Mayhem. Nothing less than you would expect from the 4HU.

I suspect the “Omega War” series was somewhat mis-named. Get ready.

Really enjoyed this volume, both as a capstone to the Omega War series, and as a stand-alone book. The twists and turns will have you holding onto your seat! Just when you think you have the plot figured out, it changes – often in a completely new direction. The authors have really outdone themselves on this one – lots of plot elements tied up, but new challenges and opportunities await! I cant wait to see what happens next in the series! I will be rereading this one in the future!

Where to begin with this review ? I may ramble on bit, but…. dang this was one hell of a ride. If humans got in any deeper in the muck, they would have probably never had a chance to get out. Challenges, deceptions, surprises, preparations, and even more previously unknown information comes to light in this novel that packs a wallop. Think of a classic heavyweight boxing match that has you drained, but excited as it’s finally decided. I don’t want to give details away, but you really are doing yourself a favor by reading all of the novels and stories in the 4HU. Start with the Revelations Cycle, followed by the Omega War, and the 4HU stories collection of novels and anthologies. A fitting conclusion to the Omega War timeline, but don’t worry, there should be more tales and stories in this growing universe.

Despite the losses but due to perseverance and and various efforts aligning together, the Humans ended the Mercenary Guild and Peepo’s war to subjugate Humans. As the war ends though, more information comes alight that there is a greater danger coming their way. Check it out!

A pinnacle showing of story craftsmanship. The conclusion of the 12 book story arc and the supporting universe gives a clear point of conclusion and a further opening to more expansion and story arcs. Delivers an ending complete with warm fuzzies. “Lets begin, shall we?”
