Bloodmagic is the second installment in the Blood Destiny novel series. It is a science fiction fantasy and written by Helen Harper. Helen is a brilliant writer and also a member of the English, Literacies and Languages Education team which is a part of the School of Education. Her most prominent novels are Infernal Enchantment and Brimstone Bound.
Saskia Maarleveld has done the narration of the Bloodmagic chapter. Her performance was quite brilliant and people had all the good things to say about that soulful performance.

After managing to set free from the Corrigan’s claws, Mack, the Lord Alpha of the Brethren is trying hard to live a quiet and lonely life. He has a home in Inverness, which is a rural town in Scotland. It was far away from all those who could be the shapeshifter. However, when she gets a new job at a bookstore, she was caught in by the maelstrom of the Ministry of Mages along with the Brethren and the Fae. The bookstore was owned by a mysterious old woman who had a great passion for herbal lore. She looked to know a lot more than she should. This is the time for Mack to decide between facing the music or just keep on staying hidden. On top of that, she also has to confront a range of her developing feelings for Corrigan, the green-eyed power.
The Bloodmagic book is above average. There were some significant mood swings of the characters very often and that didn’t help much with the character development. As compared to the first chapter in the series, Bloodmagic didn’t better the experience of the listeners in the Blood Destiny novel series.
