Finding Hope at Lighthouse Cove (Whitsborough Bay #2)

After having read the first novel in this series, Searching for Steven, it was lovely to return to the same location, Whitsborough Bay, for Getting over Gary. This is a feel-good romantic comedy with a lot of heart and the author had me carried along with a story full of emotion, twists, and characters who I felt passionate about. I didn’t like Gary from the start, but I loved Elise. She faced challenge after challenge but came through to find her own happiness.
This was one of those books I was able to close at the end and just smile about it.
Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I loved this book and the others in this series. Looking forward to the last one. So much fun to follow characters from previous books.

Another fantastic Whitsborough Bay book!

I loved this book simply because I could put it down and pick it up without loosing track. Great light reading

I am thoroughly enjoying the Whitsborough Bay Series by Jessica. First, let me say that you do not need to read this books in order (I didn’t), but if you get the chance to read them that way, then I would recommend that. This is Elise’s story and what a story it is. Elise married Gary, her highschool sweetheart while still in University. She has wanted to start a family for years, but it has not happened yet. When she begins pushing, she realizes something seems to be wrong, but is not sure what it is. Walking in on Gary and someone else is the nail in the coffin for their marriage, but what is Elise to do when ending a twelve year marriage. If you want to know more, then grab this book, put up your feet and enjoy.

I love the characters in this series. They have know each other for years and have wonderful, supportive friendships. Even the new characters fit in well and I love the interactions between them. Elise is in rebound mode and definitely makes some decisions that are not the best, but each decision gives her an adventure and something to think about. While reading this one, you will go through the gamut of emotions from sadness to anger to laughter and even happiness eventually. The dialogue in Jessica Redland’s books often has me laughing. This was a well-written and plotted book with great characters, some angst, wonderful relationships and an uplifting ending. I definitely recommend you pick up this book and the rest of the series and read them sitting outside enjoying the world.
