Few months ago, during an Ice Hockey reading mood , I \”discovered\” Rachel Reid and her Ebook, Heated Rivalry . Simply explained… It is one of the hottest and sweetest, Enemies to Lovers , MM Sports Romance I have ever read . And now, I am adding listened, to the statement above. Tor Thom narration was phenomenal. He embodied über confident , Bad Boy of Hockey ,and Russian Sex God, Ilya Rozanov perfectly. He nailed Ilya\’s Russian accent . It was even better than the one in my head. The same goes for his portrayal of Canadian , all around good guy, sweet , friendly and charismatic , Good Boy of Hockey Shane Hollander. And the hot AF, descriptive dirty-sexy and utterly delicious sexy times were AMAZING. Full disclosure, I was a bit hesitant about buying this audio. Tor Thom is a , new to me, narrator and the reviews of Game Changer, book 1 were polarizing; some loved it passionately , others didn\’t. However, I followed my gut and liked the audio sample of this book Heated Rivalry . I am incredibly happy I took the chance as I clearly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I am still on the fence about book 1 , Game Changer and it\’s more than likely , I will be skipping it. Rachel Reid book and Tor Thom performance deserve my treasured audio credits. And that folks, is one high compliment coming from a certified audio credit hoarder, as me.???? It\’s funny because is true!!!

These books are brilliant. The writing is great, and so are the characters. I wasn’t sure about the narrator at first, but I fell in love with him also.

Audio Heated Rivalry (Game Changers #2) narrated by Tor Thom
Alright. I don’t have any idea why. I don’t like hockey but I love hockey books. I have read any hockey book I can get my hands on; the good, the bad, the brilliant. I think I have listened to every M/M hockey book on audible and this my friends…. is the best. It starts with a simple rivals to lovers story but it quickly gives each character so much depth and background as they struggle to come to terms with who they are from age 18 on. Ilya who is comfortable in his skin and identity but comes from a tough background and an unforgiving country and Shane who is struggling with who he is. These two wouldn’t have worked if they had truly dated when they were 19 but as they aged they kinda became perfect for one another. No one can understand them like the other and so many times in romance novels you get the story but you don’t feel the connection. This book you totally get the connection, the feelings, the history and I just want to keep relistening over and over. Buy it. Now. Do it. Worth all the credits. And yes Tor’s accent for Kip in the previous book is well…. not the best and off putting but I’ve listened to him before and he’s brilliant and he BRINGS it full force in this one. It is harder to write praise than criticism but my gawd this book is just amazing.

I had mixed feelings about the first book in this series. I picked up the second one because there was a sale. I am very glad that I did. i enjoyed the characters so much more in this book. The dynamic was more interesting to me. Why enemies to lovers relationships seem more realistic to me than a pro hockey player meeting a love interest at a smoothie joint, I have no idea. Narration also seemed more comfortable in this book too. I have already purchased the next book in this series, and I will be probably keep reading/listening as long as the characters are still engaging.
very good
