Joe is discovered in an unconscious state at a beach of an immensely large island. It was inhabited by mankind and we are talking about planet Anyar here. It was a place with similar technology to Earth circa 1700. He awakes with the voice of strangers who were speaking some unintelligible language.
He was not ready to accept the fact about losing his prior life and finding himself at a place with dissimilar customs. He was desperately looking for himself to find some way to support himself He was not knowing even a single soul out there. His curiosity about finding a place gets softened when he discovered multiple ways for applying his very own knowledge of chemistry.
The ending of this novel would possibly make you a huge fan of this book and the series. The writer has done a tremendous job and the performance of Jonathan was amazing too.
