As the book that had been on my TBR the longest, I finally decided to break this one out and give it a read. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed this fast paced romantic suspense.
Lizzy is a Computer Security Specialist at Red Stone Security. She takes her job seriously, but she takes her brothers welfare even more seriously. Her brother Benny has been plagued with gambling and addiction issues and her entire family has washed their hands of him, everyone but Lizzy. She and Benny have a strong bong that was forged through shared pain.
Porter, a former Marine and now a security expert at Red Stone Security has a thing for Lizzy. They even dated for a month, until she ended things. He has never understood why she constantly puts her life in jeopardy for her brother and its that issue that was their downfall.
Imagine Lizzys surprise when she gets a call from her brother needing help and is asked to go to a known criminals house. Things are only going to get bad from here
No One To Trust was action packed from the first chapter all the way to the plot twist of an ending! I could relate and empathize with the characters and I couldnt help but turn the pages and was on the edge of my seat to see how things would end. I enjoyed this first book in the Red Stone series and would recommend it!

SERIES: Red Stone Security #1
Elizabeth has been taking care of her brother for years and no one understands how important it is for her to look after Benny. Even when running to Bennys rescue puts Elizabeth in the sights of notorious drug cartel leader, Orlando. I really enjoyed the action and suspense in this one as Elizabeth tries to run from the bad guy who is obsessed with having her. Considering that Elizabeth works for Red Stone Security, I would have thought she would lean on her workplace for help instead of just depending on Porter not that Porter cant take care of her just fine.
Always helping Benny is the reason that Elizabeth and her ex, Porter, broke up. Porter was attracted to Elizabeth from the first time her saw her at Red Stone and even working together couldnt keep him away. But he couldnt stand by while Elizabeth risked her life to help her brother. I understand why Porter was so frustrated by Benny he drove me up the wall for endangering Elizabeth and I admired his determination to stand by Elizabeth. Now that theyre are back together hes willing to do whatever it takes to keep her and protect her brother. Porter was wonderfully protective, strong, and sexy.
The pace and writing kept things going to the end and though there were a few moments when Elizabeths stubborn independence got in the way she also learns to lean on other people when it comes to helping Benny. I enjoyed that Elizabeth didnt fight Porter too much on her protection and she seemed to quickly understand how in over her head she was. On the same note, both Porter and Elizabeth are so set on protecting each other that they dont do the best job communicating all the facts.
Overall, I loved this book and it was a great fast paced read to fill an hour or two. I cant wait to read about more of the Red Stone Security guys and get more wonderful suspense from Katie Reus.

Audio No One to Trust (Red Stone Security #1) narrated by Pyper Down
I was disappointed in this. I didn’t like both main characters very much, Elizabeth and Porter, and didn’t feel connected to them at all. They were slightly two dimensional. Elizabeth was supposed to be clever and a computer geek, which would indicate she had good problem solving skills but she was argumentative and rushed into things without much thought. I found her irritating. Porter was ‘assertive’ without any reason really.
The plot was good and had a lot of promise but this felt very short and rushed.

The book kept me gripped throughout as the story was fast paced. I loved the characters lizzy was strong and intelligent and I like that in a female character. The tension between lizzy and porter was amazing.
I really enjoyable read.
