America has been among the top ranks for decades and one can assume that it will go on like this for centuries. William R. Forstchen is not one of those believers, the author thinks that American people are daydreaming which will end their dominance sooner than they expect.
Instead of talking about the prewar scenario the author shifts to the postwar era of a war that has not taken place in this world. Sooner or later such war will come to the United States and it will engulf every living soul living on the land.
ONE SECOND AFTER audiobook free
William portrays the life of a man hereafter the disaster takes place. America even with all its power and glory loses the war because its enemies were planning for it for a very long time. They have been developing weapons like the EMP for this specific war and now they have used it to destroy the planet’s biggest superpower. We listen to the story in the voice of a man who has survived this deadly war in America.
Although he has survived he sees that there is nothing left for him on the land to live for. Everything is erased from the face of the earth thus nothing has remained except dust. Joe Barrett narrates the feeling of this individual who assumes he is sent back to the Dark Age. One Year After and 48 Hours raced towards the end at a quick pace, this book goes into detail because of which the speed is not the same. This book needed a proper description of scenes that could have an impact on the mind of the listener so the author goes slowly for this purpose.
