Permission to Feel Audiobook
Permission to Feel is a book on psychology and mental health. It tells about unlocking the emotional power for the sake of helping out our children, ourselves, and society. The author and narrator of this audiobook are Marc Brackett. He is a research psychologist and also the director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. His opinion on the subject matter is quite worthy of sharing with people which he has just done through this Permission to Feel book.
The narration of this book is also handled by Marc Brackett. It was not a good narration at all. The narrator was struggling with the clarity of his tone and also in maintaining the right pace which makes it easily audible for the listeners.
Permission to Feel
In the last 25 years or so of Marc Brackett as an emotion scientist, he has managed to setup a remarkably productive plan for enhancing the lives of adults and children alike. The major part of his approach is all related to his childhood. It starts from a shrewd uncle who allowed him with the permission to feel. He was the very first adult who had seen marc and also listened to him. He recognized all of the suffering, abuse, and bullying that he endured throughout his life. That was the start of the awareness of Marc that what exactly he had been going through. That all was temporary. He was not alone in that thing. He wasn’t bound to any sort of timeline and he was not wrong to feel scared, angry, or isolated at all. Now, he could do something meaningful about it.

Permission to Feel is a terrific book. It was lovely to have such useful information coming in the voice of Marc Brackett himself which makes it feel too personal and relatable.
