Where can I buy a ticket to Zest? Jumping in puddles at my age, while fun, just makes me look crazy-er. Read the book you’ll understand *wink*. So much cleverness wrapped up in a world created from the fertile mind of Donna Augustine. So much fun watching Tippi and Hawk dance around each other when she returns to Zest. Not only does Donna have a gift for dreaming up protagonists we laugh, cry, and swoon over, she has a knack for taking characters we’ve know since childhood and turn them into crazy, memorable second-characters. Three monkeys, I will say nothing more except to shout I LOVE THEM! So much goodness in this second books. So many answered questions from the first book. So much more to learn about both Tippi and Hawk in the third book. Please hurry up with those answers. I’ll be here waiting to one-click as soon as it’s finished.

The Nowhere Witch audiobook in series Tales of Xest
Back in the 80’s there used to be pulp romances where the rich, powerful hero taught the heroine a lesson by humiliating her and belittling her abilities before marrying her, which apparently made it just fine. In Nowhere Witch, the “hero” systematically takes away the basics of life from the heroine: making sure she cannot get or keep a job and having her landlord evict her. He then goes on to make her live with him and work for him. The heroine understands this puts her even further in his power but accepts it because everyone around her says it’s the smart thing to do. He stalks her, touches her without permission, and questions her about anything she does without his knowledge. I’m sure the author will end the story with a happily ever after, but you can easily replace the ending with a more realistic one: an obsessive relationship where one individual’s choices are crushed under the will of the powerful while society tells the victim there’s nothing wrong. Why accept this romanticizing as a plot device?

The Nowhere Witch audiobook by Donna Augustine
Yet another of her books that’s absolutely become one of my favorites! Phenomenal story that sucks you right back in to xest, and leaves you sleepless and unproductive until you reach the end, when you’re still left sleepless and unproductive as you think about the awesomeness you just read- I can’t wait for the next one!

The Nowhere Witch audio narrated by Angel Clark
I did not think it possible but better than the first one. The way the Nowhere Which gets back on her feet with her luck makes the story. Throw in an Alpha male, roommates, co-works, and a few dimensions and you have the perfect potion.

Welcome back to Xest. It is crazy and dangerous and one huge adventure. Tippi is set on figuring it out on her own, and luckily her friends are there to come to the rescue. This book picks up exactly where the first left off. It is a great continuation of the story line and hints at a grand adventure locked behind the cover of a very anticipated book #3!!!
