The Vine Witch is the first chapter in a brand new series titled as the name of this chapter, The Vine Witch. The book is a romance fantasy with a gripping tale. It is written by Luanne G. Smith. If you want to further explore the archives of Luanne G. Smith then The Conjurer and The Glamourist will come up as her best novels.
Susannah Jones has narrated this chapter. The performance was good overall. However, there was some flavor of French in the accent which especially towards the end of this novel was a bit annoying.

The vineyards of Chateau Renard for centuries have depended on the vine witches‘ talent. Their spell helps a great deal in creating a top-notch wine at Chanceaux Valley. After breaking the spell that managed to confined her to the ridges of swampland and faded her magic completely. Elena is finding it hard to make a return to her previous life. The vineyard that she was supposed to inherit is now in hold of a good-looking stranger.
Vigneron Martel is in favor of science naively over superstition. He doesn’t believe in the witches. But, Elena knows a hex when she sees some witch and the entire vineyard s completely covered in them. She needs to hide her real identity and also her plan for having her revenge against the ones who stolen seven long winters from her life.
This book will make a fine weekend or a beach read. You will like the characters and the plot. The performance was above average, where the only issue was with the French accent of the narrator.
