Trumpty Dumpty Wanted a Crown: Verses For a Despotic Age (Dumpty #2) audiobook free
The book really made me laugh. It also made me cry at the same time by pointing out how totally corrupt Trump and his cronies are. I had managed to block out a lot of these blots on American history, but this book brought them back to the forefront. Fortunately, the entertainment value outweighs the sadness factor. My only complaint about the book was that it was too short. It could have been 10 times longer and still not covered all the many ways Trump has screwed up and screwed over America and its citizens.

In general I knew (or at least suspected) what I was getting when I bought this, but somehow I was disappointed by the product. A lot of the material seemed a stretch to fit the rhythm scheme. You may like this: I felt I wasted my money. 2 Stars

When I learned that the multi-talented John Lithgow had written a follow-up to his first book of satiric verses, Dumpty, I absolutely could not wait to get Trumpty Dumpty Wanted A Crown into my hands. Once I did, I couldn\’t put it down. What a refreshing contrast to all of the chaos and bellicose exchanges of our current political environment! Lithgow delivers a masterful skewering of all things Trump while making it clear that there are still thoughtful, caring people in the world who are finally beginning to point out that the emperor has no clothes. Lithgow\’s delightful illustrations are almost (almost!) more enjoyable than his verses, but I relished both. Buy this one in hardcover for your Trump-averse friends, because it\’s a treasure they\’ll want to keep. Even the paper it\’s printed on is a pleasure beneath the reader\’s fingers. This book may get me through the coming election.

This is savy, cute, cutting and dangerously true. Who knew you, John Lithgo, could do great line drawings and make sure that history is not rewritten. I am so much of a fan. Will give this book to many of my friends.

I really enjoy the prose and the explanations and character identification for each piece is excellent.
