Two to Love (Nights in Bliss, Colorado #2)

Im happy to have revisited Bliss; its such an interesting little town with fascinating residents. All of that made better by the beautiful storytelling of Lexi Blake. Callie, Zane, and Nates story was a little sad, a little funny, a lot provocative, and fabulously engrossing. Once I started reading Two to Love, I couldnt put it down and devoured the entire thing in one sitting. Two to Love is the second book in Lexi Blakes Nights in Bliss, Colorado series. It can be read as a standalone, though the characters from book one do make an appearance in this book. There are also tie-ins to Lexi Blakes other series, which only serves to enrich the entirety of the world shes built. Two to Love is written in third-person alternating limited perspective, switching between following Callie, Nate, and Zanes thoughts. I fell in love with Callie in Three to Ride; there was something about her in that book that just felt so sad even when she was happy for friends. Seeing her strength, despite the heartbreaking and life-threatening situations she found herself in, was so great. I loved how she refused to settle for less than she deserved and fought for what she needed and wanted. Zane was the standout, amongst the boys. He was so tragic, so self-sacrificing, and ultimately the better man amongst himself and Nate. I struggled with Nate, not because he was unlikable even in his egotism there was something vulnerable about him but because he was so wholly focused on what was right he neglected to observe that what was right for him was far closer than he could fathom. Two to Love moved fast, both regarding the threesome falling in love and regarding action. Like all of Ms. Blakes books, the insta-love aspect felt natural because of the vulnerability the characters demonstrated to each other. I found the storyline of this book captivating, it wasnt terribly unpredictable, but the anticipation of finding out, for sure, what was coming next was delightful. Lexi Blake is almost on top of my must-read authors. She does such a fantastic job of making her characters likable, even when they shouldnt be. Her relationships always feel so well-developed, the characters care for one another so profoundly; theyre something to strive for. I love her writing style and always look forward to reading anything she releases.

This was book 2 in the Nights in Bliss, Colorado\” series. Callie Sheppard was born and raised in Bliss along with the twins Rye and Max and Stefan. At the age of 25 she goes to Stefan for help of losing her virginity and making a fantasy come true she wants a menage she once thought she was in love with Rye who was the sheriff and she was his secretary. Stefan introduces her to Nathan Wright a family friend and his best friend Zane Hollister and after spending the weekend with them she is heartbroken when they leave without saying goodbye and leaving a note. Fast forward six years when the new sheriff shows up she gets a surprise its Nate and he is no longer the same man. Nate and Zane who were undercover in a long-term DEA assignment where Zane was almost killed. Zane is broken and scared they have been in Bliss for two weeks and he has yet to see Callie he is afraid to go into town. Turns out some bikers are after Zane and while drinking in a bar he sees Callie and Jen who are out looking to get laid. This was a good read when the bikers attack their cabin the go to the nudist community for safety where Nate realizes that he has been an jerk to the town and its people. Nate was a rich guy with a 10 million dollar trust fund until his father stole all his money and lost it all. He wants to climb the ladder in the DEA. Zane doesn\’t have anyone but Nate and Callie he only went into the agency because of Nate he will do anything to protect Callie even turn himself over to the bikers that want him dead. This was a really good book the sex scenes were hot although at times I wanted to slap Nate the town of Bliss showed him that they protect their own. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book Stefan and Jen will the Dom get his way.

Nate and Zane are former DEA agents, leaving the Agency after Zane\’s cover is blown and he is tortured by the motorcycle club they are investigating. Nate gets a job in Bliss, CO, as the sheriff, brought in by an old friend, and he\’s looking for Callie. Nate and Zane met Callie in Dallas right before they went undercover, and they fell in love, as did she. As they are getting to know each other again, a hit is out out on Zane by the MC. The three of them, and the town of Bliss, have to come together to keep Zane and Callie alive! As always with Me Blake, the action is only overshadowed by the steam factor! The characters in Bliss will keep you on your toes and giggling like a school girl. Totally worth it!!

Lexi Blake masterfully crafts stories that weave love, mystery, suspense and danger into the perfect reading experience. Her characters are multilayered, charasmatic, emtionally conflicted, flawed but extremely likeable. Even though there are intensely dramatic and steamy moments Lexi injects humor that brings a smile and/or a chuckle at just the right time. Callie\’s, Nate\’s and Zane\’s journey to easy is not smooth sailing but they finally get it right. Zane and Nate must finally deal with the aftermath of feelings of a mission gone horribly wrong: Nate\’s guilt over not keeping Zane from torture and Zane\’s need to self sacrifice in order to protect Callie and Nate. Meanwhile, an outlaw biker gang and corrupt DEA agents target Zane because he unknowingly holds. The quirky citizens step up to help Zane and Nate protect Callie. The threesome settle into a life in Bliss that gives them the happiness and acceptance they deserve.

It is impossible to not love Callie. She is the sweetheart of Bliss, but she is lonely. Nathan and Zane know that Callie is here in Bliss, and they can\’t wait to find her. I don\’t think they realized how bad they broke her heart when they left. Zane is so broken from what happened to him while he was undercover. Nate can\’t reach his best friend who is more like his brother, and he is afraid that he is going to lose both of the people he loves. What he doesn\’t see is that he is his own worst enemy. This books is so good, and OMG I want to marry Zane!
