Out of seven appealing parts, this novel is the first one which begins the strange story of a warrior who is thrown on land which is full of deadly creatures. Richter has powers of his no doubt but on “The Land” he has to confront magical and mythical creatures including gods as well.
Alone he cannot face such things so he knows that he has to find shelter and help fast if he wants to survive in this new world he finds himself in. At every step deceit and the webs of cheating awaits him as he tries to find some allies for his aid.

Aleron Kong introduces the world here which he describes further in The Land: Monsters and The Land: Catacombs. In the entire seven parts, the author describes something unique about this new world. With the opening of each part, we open a new dimension of “The Land” which was previously not known to us. Richter establishes a base for himself and starts gaining power through allies but nothing is useful for a long time. Each time there is an emergence of a new enemy narrated by Nick Podehl which is more powerful and hideous than the previous one.
Demons and goblins unite against this one helpless warrior and the warrior is ready to fight all of them with the same courage which he showed against his previous enemies. The novel is full of fights, breathtaking narrow escapes, and the unconquerable will of a man who is going to make his unconquerable enemies tremble. The novel does not end well according to many critics but this was done because the author wanted to keep a sign of continuity alive.
