Ride Dirty (Raven Riders #4)

I have adored Laura’s Rough Riders series and I sooo enjoyed getting Caine’s story. His story is heartbreaking, sweet, sexy and all-around GREAT! Caine is used to watching out for everyone. He’s not the kind of guy that wants to make connections, he’s a scratch an itch kind of guy and move on. He helps out a stranger being attacked and finds himself drawn to her. Emma is wholesome and kindhearted and he feels like he’s not worthy of her. He’s like a scared animal around her and she learns to read his cues and try to encourage him. From the outside they appear to be complete opposites, but both are good people, one with bad things that have happened to him. Their chemistry is palpable through the pages and their story is sweet. I loved seeing into Caine’s background and watching Emma change and alter his life in the best of ways. There’s some drama and scary things happening around them and it’s not all fun and games. This was a captivating read and I couldn’t put it down. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Ride Dirty is part of author Laura Kayes Raven Riders series and is the fourth novella in the 2018 1,001 Dark Nights line-up. For many years now I have looked forward to anything Laura Kaye puts out and this was no exception. I couldnt wait for Caine and Emmas story and, oh my, it was just as amazing as I knew it would be.

Heres the thing about Laura Kaye and broken heroesholy hell can she write them! Caine is such the perfect example of that. Hes had a horrible past. Truly heartbreaking and it had my chest physically aching as I was reading him and just how far hes come and how hes still trying to overcome things today. I just loved him and wanted nothing more for him to have his happy ending. Enter Emma

If ever there was a gal perfect for Caine, it was Emma. Shes the sunshine in his darkness and I loved them together. The connection they share is emotional and intense and its deliciously steamy and BEYOND sexy. These two burned up the pages and I was so sad to have read them as fast as I did! Its stories like these that make me hate reading as fast as I do!

And now this is where I go into how sad I am to see this series come to an end. I have loved these guys and gals from the very beginning and while I will miss them, I know Ms. Kaye has other amazing stories in store for us!

Whether youre already a fan of Ms. Kaye or this is your first taste, I know you will love Ride Dirty as much as I did!

It is very interesting take on this couples meeting in the most usual way. Before they know it they became friends and one thing lead to the other they began a relationship that will help heal the life and painfully abused that Caine McKinnon has experienced and still feels that he is unworthy of love and family. In the end they were able to resolve the problems of kidnapping that was stopped by Canine. On the very night they met I loved it! I loved Emm. She was smart, sweet, and a straight shooter. But I really loved Cain! I knew his story would be heartbreaking and tragic, but that made his fall for Emma that much sweeter. He deserved to be happy. He was so closed off, but a born protector. And with Emma, he was a complete sweetheart. He had me at the medicine. You’ll see if you read it.

Though LK tells a very complete story in this novella, I would have loved to have a full length novel with these two. They were fun to read… and HOT! I loved it! I loved Emm. Ride Dirty is the fourth book in the Raven Series and I’ve been counting the days to Caine’s story!
Caine is Raven Rider’sSergeant-at-Arms, he’s a loner, intense, tough, brooding alpha male that does whatever it takes for his real family: the Raven Riders. Caine has a huge heart, he’s a fierce protector and he always puts his brothers first even though he tries to maintain a certain emotional distance. He meets Emma when she’s in a dangerous situation and he saves her but his gut tells him that there’s something off about all of it and that Emma might still be in danger…
Emma is a smart, sweet, sexy, funny kindergarten teacher with a normal life and a goofy dog. She finds herself in a risky situation but she’s brave enough to fight back and she’s also very lucky that Caine is close enough to rescue her. She’s fascinated by Caine, the Raven Riders brotherhood and she can’t help but notice how hot Caine is…
No one writes wonderful broken damaged heroes likeLaura Kaye. I fall for each and every one of them. Caine is now my new favorite Raven Rider! He’s got such a beautiful soul, his past is so heartbreaking and when he opens up to Emma… I just couldn’t stop some tears from falling and my heart from breaking. He’s absolutely perfect! I also loved that Emma was exactly right for Caine, the way they were drawn to each other and their chemistry… HOT!
Ride Dirty is a fast paced, beautiful, sweet, emotional love story. The Raven Riders are my favorite MC and I’m sad to say goodbye to this series, I really wish we could read more about them! (Yes Jagger, I’m looking at you!) Laura Kaye did an amazing job with this series, I highly recommend to anyone that loves romance and perfectly damaged heroes.

Caine is scared both inside and out, born to a crack addict mother and a father who liked the bottle! Put in care homes and then homeless, hes not had it easy, trust needs to be earned and not easily given.
Hes lost too many already, his heart needs to stay behind the wall hes built.
Emma loves Christmas, its a season she loved with her grandmother, she cant wait to wrap presents and eat lots over the Christmas period. But first she has to deal with a mugger! Luckily shes saved, but by a biker! Shes expecting to
be mugged from this guy as well, but instead makes her feel safe.
Oh this was such a good read (wish it had been longer) Caine not thinking hes good enough for anyone, especially not a kindergarten teacher.
Emma is such a good person, shes sees the best in everyone. Loves her job, in fact loves life, the interaction with her dog was so cute.
And Caines reaction to the dog was hilarious. I dont think he knew what to do with it.
Emma seems to be the one that sets the pace for this story, she has to put in a lot of hard work with Caine, she thinks hes worth the effort. But can she see a future with a biker?
Caine has been in all the books, but not too prevalent, hes mostly been in the background, so it was nice to drag him into the spotlight.
He doesnt expect kindness from anyone, he expects just to be used. Hes had that all his life, and the Ive person he tried to look after does in a fire at a young age, so from them on, its no connections, his biker buddies are family, but still not a proper connection.
He needed Emma to show him not everyone is out to hurt him or use him.
Hoping there are a few more books to this series.
