Finally, Diana and Matthew are back where they started their quest long ago. Diana is fully aware of her potential now, she knows all about her powers and has completed her training too. Search for Ashmole 782 took Diana to places she never thought she would visit in her life. During A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night, she has traveled all over the world and also back in time.
For Ashmole 782 Diana went to the Elizabethan age with her trustworthy ally the vampire i.e Matthew. There Matthew met his old buddies and Diana got a chance to train but they have returned to their time zone once again empty-handed. There was no sign of the missing pages and the manuscript in the past too. As the two come back they meet the creatures whom they dealt with in the first book.

Familiar faces of allies and friends are also seen on the screen; there is haste in the air because time is running out for everyone. If the manuscript is not found this time the world will come under the cruel rule of the dark forces that have been planning this invasion for thousands of years.
Diana solely would be held responsible for all of this, so she struggles along with her friends to find the missing pages before the enemy does. Deborah Harkness always finishes well; the author has a habit of keeping fun for the finale. As far as the narration is concerned Jennifer Ikeda started well in the first part and finishes nicely too in this last episode of the series with witches involved.
