Brawne Lamia had a relationship with the first John Keats and this made her pregnant too. Lamia gave birth to a daughter when the first Keats disappeared. In childbirth, the mother also died and the daughter who was born was named Aenea.
Anenea travels to the future through the Time Tombs and the people of the church think that she has some information from the future.
ENDYMION
The church also uses technology instead of faith now to make people immortal beings. Constant forces are at work in other places too to get rid of mankind forever. Between all of this, the return of Aenea from the future means a lot to everyone. When she is about to appear from the tomb there is a group that is waiting to arrest her. Raul Endymion appears in this part of the story that is given the duty to save Aenea from the deadly clutches and make sure that she returns safely.
Aenea and Raul get joined by a bond of friendship after that and they start to travel away from danger. Legendary River Tethys is crossed with the help of a raft that the two build and during the journey they face things which they weren’t expecting.
Dan Simmons has intentionally created this series in many folds, after every chapter Victor Bevine’s voice opens up a new chapter and a new fold of the story. This book is sandwiched between The Fall of Hyperion and The Rise of Endymion so continuity is compulsory without the previous and the next part this will not be understandable for anyone. Make sure that when you buy this one you get the other parts too for a listen.
