Memories of Tomorrow, the sixth and final story in Dean Koontzs Nameless series, was the shortest and most straightforward mission as Koontz dedicated half the story to finally revealing the back story of the life of Nameless. In the final series, Nameless is sent to Indiana to track down a psychopath named Chilton Cutter who has murdered his wife, kidnapped his step son Jamie and is now hiding in a remote cave. Nameless is directed, as always, by the Ace of Diamonds, whose endless resources make it easy for the team to track down Cutter, even though local law enforcement has given up and moved on to the next crisis. The justice that is delivered by Nameless is the least exciting and rewarding of the series but this story serves more as a catalyst to force Nameless to face his past and make a decision on how he wants to live his future.

I will not spoil any of the plot the leads to our discovery of the history of Nameless. Koontz brings Nameless to the brink through a typical apocalyptic thunder storm with rain driving down in sheets and lighting piercing the skies at a rural truck stop filled with big rigs, heavy equipment and evil. It is vintage Koontz. Finally, our agent of truth, who has been ironically running from the truth of his past, is forced to stop and confront his own truth. It is a satisfying ending and a fitting conclusion to a very well written and unique series. My only regret is that I do not have a nice hard bound copy to stack on my shelf next to the rest of my Koontz editions. Welcome to the future!

Dean Koontz once again proves what a great writer he is. This story was short but kept me reading from page one to the end without stopping. It wasnt until the end that you were shown the thrilling climax. So many stories you can easily figure out this one had me crying but also saying wow didnt see that coming. Read this book

Audiobook Memories of Tomorrow (Nameless #6) by Dean Koontz

Sigh. That’s what I did when I got to the last part of this novella. Because the truth can be an overwhelming burden, especially to one who chooses to bring truth to the monsters he pursues.

I read through this entire series in two days, and only took that long because I had other things to do.

I like Nameless almost as much as Odd Thomas. The character is built in such a way that I rooted for him, and hoped for something so bizarre, miraculous and out of the ordinary to happen to make this ending a good one for him, for his life to be ‘righted’ as Dean Koontz has done for so many other characters.

I look forward to the stories yet to come for Nameless. I hope, that in time, he gets to face the adversary he deserves to encounter.

Audio Memories of Tomorrow (Nameless #6) narrated by Edoardo Ballerini

I read all six novellas in about four hours, but I read very quickly. Loved the adventure and gritty theme. The last story had a twist that you was surprising. Highly recommend this series.

Excellent ending. Answers the questions the previous Nameless books left hanging. Prefer to read actual books but sacrifice that to read ANYTHING from Dean Koontz!
