Artemis Entreri is surrounded by the dark elves and fully tighten his grip right on the streets of the Calimport. While he desires carefulness, his sponsor of black skin type grows a lot more ambitious. The assassin therein would soon discover himself on a path where his most cruel enemy has walked ahead of him. It was a path that could take him to a place where Artemis Entreri type people would never be welcomed at all.
On the other end, Jarlaxle has managed to ascend from the dark Menzoberranzan. The intentions there were nothing but all evil. The influence of the spiteful Crystal Shard over him further deepened. It continued even till the time when drow agents that he got along with him grow more dreadful. Jarlaxle would be forced hard to discover a savior in someone who has come to subjugate.
The novel is well written and even well-paced. You will have a great time with not even a moment when you feel bored. The narration by Victor Bevine was once again awesome.
