I prefer to listen to books rather than read books. This was one of the few books that I read first because I was so excited that I couldn\’t wait for the audiobook. This book was a one click purchase, turn off current audiobook and start CLU. This book is amazing. I love love love the famous families. While I\’m firmly on Team Hale, I couldn\’t help loving Charlie Cobalt for what he does. Teddy Hamilton is the perfect Jack. I haven\’t ever listened to Brian Pallino before. I really enjoyed his narration and will be checking out more from him.

Charming Like Us was a sweet addition to the Like Us series. It was entertaining to get into the minds of Oscar and Jake, characters who\’ve really only been on the periphery of the series so far. Although it felt a little odd not having one of the three families in a starring roll! But we got a good dose of Charlie, which I really liked- he was like the 3rd main character in Charming Like Us. Even without his point of view we learned some interesting things about him, which just showed how much more there is to him than we\’ve seen so far. I\’m not sure I\’ll ever really forgive him completely, when it comes to how he treated Moffy, but getting the peeks into him that we did, color me intrigued- I hope he eventually gets his own book, This was a lighter, easier read than the other books in the Like Us series, even though Jack and Oscar faced some of the same troubles the famous ones do, thanks to the crazy \”fans\”. But overall you won\’t find the same angst and drama as the other books, which was a nice change of pace for these two. I thought Jack and Oscar were really sweet together and I enjoyed their romance. It was a little on the insta side, especially when it came to Jack- considering he\’d never imagined he\’d fall for a man. But I liked that once he really faced his feelings there wasn\’t much hesitation on his part. And I was happy for Oscar, after all his worries and embarrassments, getting the man he wanted! Brain Pallino is a new to me narrator, but after listening to this book you can bet I\’ll be searching out other ones he\’s narrated! He was terrific as Oscar, I liked the deep, gruffness to his voice. And Teddy Hamilton, he\’s pretty much narrator perfection, in my humble opinion, He always does such a great job of bringing the vulnerability to a character, I think that\’s one of the best things about him. And his Jack was no exception. I really enjoyed listening to this book, having Brain and Teddy brings the characters to life was a treat!

Audiobook Charming Like Us (Like Us #7) by Becca Richie Krista Ritchie

I was so excited to start this book! This is one of my favorite series. I think I am in love with Oscar! He and Jack are such a good match. I finished this one with the same silly grin that I had on my face after Moffy and Farrow’s books! The narration was perfection! I could listen to “Oscar’s” voice all day long.

Audio Charming Like Us (Like Us #7) narrated by Brian Pallino Teddy Hamilton

Like the other books in the series, this one requires a HUGE suspension of disbelief just to get through it. But this one might have the weakest and most far-fetched plot. Straight guys don\’t go date guys this quickly. From attraction to dating to coming out and meeting the parents in under a month. But the manufactured melodrama between the siblings is completely unreasonable in scope–it\’s an extremely weak backstory.

I knew of and loved Teddy Hamilton already, but Brian Pallino is new to me and he has a gorgeous voice. Wonderful story with the perfect amount of drama. I really love the insight we keep getting on Charlie, too.
