Payback’s A Bitch (Awkward Love #6)

I was looking for a short and funny read, and this jumped out at me. I read it after work and was laughing my bahooky off.

I loved watching the pranks each of these characters pulled on each other and them finally giving into their feelings. I want Lewis’ story next.

Mack just made this story. He’s the funniest little brother I’ve ever read about. I’d love to read his book as an adult.

My major issue with this book is with it being so short, there’s questions that were never really addressed. It feels like all this happened over the span of two weeks.

What did Darcy decide to do with her career? How’s Cam’s company doing after the transition?

Good little book to read before bedtime.

Darcy and Cameron know how to play games and jokes.

I am not sure how I would feel if my birthday was on April 1st. I guess I would have to roll with the punches.

Mack, the younger brother, is so funny too.

This story was laugh out loud. Love the chemistry between Darcy and Cam, even though they become stepsiblings.

OH MY THAT WAS VERY INTERESTING AND CRAZINESS WRAPPED UP IN ONE…….HOLY FREAKING SMOKES ALL OF THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN EVERYONE ESPECIALLY BETWEEN CAMERON AND DARCY OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS!!!:))) AND EVEN THOUGH THEY DID SOME REALLY WEIRD STUFF THEY WERE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER AWWW:))) AND SO ARE BOTH OF THEIR PARENTS BECAUSE THEY ARE MARRIED

Darcys birthday falls on April Fools day so her friends pull some outlandish prank each year. After doing a pre-birthday prank on Darcy at a bar, she has them swear that the prank the next day will end it. Soooo, her friends decide to pull the biggest one of allthey put an ad for her on a website where ANYTHING goes. OMG the emails she gets are hilarious. Except one. She gets a funny but clued-in email or tweet (??) from James and they begin corresponding. What she doesnt know is that James is really her obnoxious soon-to-be stepbrother, Cameron who is pulling his own prank on her. What transpires is so good! Some really great scenes: poker game, Lewis apartment, Cams apartment, in hallways, in bathrooms, in hotel rooms, etc, winkThe banter among all the characters is well-written and humorous. Innuendoes abound. Loved this series so far. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book. I hope Lewis gets his own story, wheel chair and all.

Ok. I liked the storyline. Clever and funny. My issue is entirely with the editing. It was sloppy and could have been easily fixed with a proof read. Without spoiling anything: the main characters jump from one location to another in the very same paragraph.
