I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Nathan Stone was a man of action always living life on the edge. When tragedy strikes, he is thrust into a business worth billions. Nathan runs The Stone Corporation, a global jewelry company. Nathan is throwing a party and A-listers in the gem industry will be in attendance, including Nikolai Romanov. Emma is a wanna-be actress on the verge of success, but for now, she works in data entry. Emma finds herself at Nathan\’s party, but for a much different reason. Emma\’s skill at acting will be put to the test tonight and if she wants to leave the party alive, her performance needs to be Oscar worthy. Nathan is far too dangerous for Emma, in so many ways, but Emma is more dangerous to Nathan when he realizes that he has a soft spot for her. Carly is a bubbly, cute pixie who loves life and lives it to the fullest. Kyle is the exact opposite. He\’s broody, grumpy and vengeful. And he hates the way Carly makes him feel. Prepare yourselves for an epic thrill ride of twisted emotions, dirty money, filthy minds, and passion.. so much passion! WOO! Lauren Landish rolled out the red carpet of storylines! A four-person POV that seamlessly flowed together into a goosebump-inducing, spine tingler journey with a group of people I could not get enough of! Unputdownable- I was so immersed in the angst, humor, sexual tension ( YAS PLEASE ) dark mysterious sides and all that entailed I made myself stay awake to finish – Well worth my sleepiness today! Perfect length for the intricate story this is one book I could see becoming a movie or online streaming series! I am blown away by this book! It\’s moved to the top spot of my favorite reads so far this year!! If you enjoy, dark, mixed with heat, humor and a passionate romance at work in an intricately played out spine tingler- than I highly suggest checking out Nathan, Emma, Carly, & Kyle\’s journey to a sense of peace and new life.

This book was just ok for me. I didn\’t like the fact that there was two couples in this story!!! I like Nathan and Emma but then the author puts in two chapters every so often of Carly and Kyle. It was confusing and to me it took away from Nathan and Emma\’s story. I had to try to remember what was going on with them after reading about Carly and Kyle, to be truthful there was no real reason to give them that much of the book. Carly is Emma\’s bff, they both come from money but they don\’t care about that. Spoiler: Carly\’s family try\’s to make her marry a man they choose for her, she doesn\’t love him and he\’s abusive so she takes off to Europe to be a free sprit. She meets Kyle who is so loss in his pain of losing his fianc and unborn daughter ( they were killed). Kyle only wants revenge for what he\’s lost. Back to the \”real\” H and H of the story. Nathan\’s father and his father assistant was murdered…you guessed it the assistant was Kyles fianc. Nathan has daddy issues and now runs the family jewel business and Emma wants to be an off Broadway actress but her sister who is an FBI agent needs Emma to go undercover to try to see if Nathan killed his father and Anna his assistants and what he\’s doing with a Russian Mobster, oh did I forget to say that yes Nathan has dealings with the Russian mob too. This book had real promise but was just all over the place with writing about two couples in one book. On the plus side, I did not find any misspelled words or grammar issues.

Holy smokes! I didn\’t know what I was getting myself into when I picked up the ARC copy of this book. I was expecting your typical good girl meets bad boy and falls in love storyline but this was that plus so much more. First, this book was almost like reading two stories at one time. The major portion of the story deals with Emma and Nathan. But then there is the interweaving of the story of her best friend, Carly, and guy she falls for, Kyle. Towards the beginning I wasn\’t sure about this but the more I read, the more I appreciated the intermingling of the stories. Second, this isn\’t merely a love story. There is also suspense, adventure, heart-stopping moments of danger, and the underlying current of not knowing who to trust. This book caused me to lose so much sleep because once I would start reading, I didn\’t want to up the book down. I kept telling myself just one more chapter but that turned into me reading until I couldn\’t keep my eyes open any longer. Finally, since I usually read on my ereader, I don\’t usually pay that much attention to the covers for books. But man, guy on this cover is HOT and definitely matches how I imagined Nathan would look.

What happens when an actress helps out her FBI sister and meets what they both think is a mob boss? Intrigue and suspense but not the meeting of a soul mate that leads to a HEA. Emma and Nathan have a connection that neither understands but both want more of. A trek into the jungle, diamonds and a Russian mobster make a great read
