And one again EK Blairs writing illicit a complete mind game feel where youre left thinking what the hell did I just read? She has you guessing the entire time. I figured out close to the end and started pondering if what we were led to believe was in fact a lie.

Carly is a politicians wife…. she is married to Tripp Montgomery. The family she married into is your typical, stereotype, royal political family. All she truly wants is to be loved by Tripp and soon discovers his indiscretions.

Enter Emma a struggling college student who is desperate to do whatever she can to ensure the financial stability she needs to continue school and provide for her family shes up to her eyeballs in debt the kind you cant come back from. She has a great roommate in Luca who would do anything for her.

This story was ALL kinds of messed up with corruption, greed, blackmail, survival, intrigue. You name it and this story had it! I read this in one sittingI couldnt put it down. Excellent read!

I thought reading about Anonymous in Lost in the Affair was good, this was even better!

While her husband, Tripp, is running for governor, Carly is in a mission of her own. Carly is fed up with Tripp’s cheating but she can’t leave him because she signed a prenup and she’ll be left with nothing after 13 years of marriage. There is an infidelity clause that affords her a way out, Carly just needs to provide proof of Tripp’s infidelity. She solicits the help of one of her patients, Emma, to get that proof.

Emma lost her financial assistance after missing too many classes after the death of her parents and she needs money. She’s desperate for money and there isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for it. She needs to pay for her last three semesters of college so, she can get a decent job to help pay for care for her autistic brother.

Sit back and brace yourselves for the twists and turns in this one. You won’t regret doing do.

Wow what a mind bender. My thoughts were running a mile a minute with trying to figure out the end game. I was way off.

E. K. Blair wove an intriguing, suspenseful and all consuming psychological thriller. I was fully invested in Emmas story. Her situation is dire and the lengths that she goes to is interesting to say the least.

There are many moving parts to this story and I devoured every word. E. K. Blair is a one click author for me.

A politician’s wife and a down-on-her-luck college student strike a deal that crosses all lines of ethics and leads them both down a path they can’t return. I thought the blurb to this was a little too vague but nevertheless I picked it up and enjoyed reading the story unfold. The beginning felt very reminiscent of the movie Chloe which I am a huge fan of.
