Through this journal, the listeners are told how the Earth got invaded by another mighty species and the humans could only watch as their home was snatched from them, right in front of their eyes. The hero or the survivor is a military officer and this is the reason that he was tough enough to stand against everything.

The undead was not the kind of beings, a person usually wants to see all day but now the humans had no chance because their lives were permanently altered by this species who has become dominant. In Day By Day Armageddon J.L. Bourne started the story of the attack and in this second part, the invasion is finally complete.
There is a group of rebels planning something big in Texas but only a miracle can make them survive and get the job done which armies of the human world have failed to do. From the journal of the main character, we get the chance to know more about the aliens and also the mental condition of the surviving humans.

In the end, Jay Snyder narrates how pessimistic the remaining humans have become as they are thinking of surviving only which may not be possible for a very long time. Shattered Hourglass is the next part of the series and along with struggles that part comes with some solution to the problem so do go through that entertaining episode too. The more one listens to these entertaining episodes the more he gets the chance to dive deep into the world of the undead.
