Big Vamp on Campus (Half-Moon Hollow #5.5) audiobook free
Very disappointing. I seriously thought I was missing the last few chapters of the book (maybe the entire second half?). Computer glitch maybe? Nope. Just a short story, really. Not even a novella. No real conflict, no real climax. Ophelia goes to college, has some personal growth on a minor level, doesn’t really struggle, the end. Boring and pointless.

It’s a quick, six chapter story of Ophelia dealing with her punishment as a student in college. Her boyfriend, Jamie is featured, so is Ben and three new female leads, one of which ends up being a star of an upcoming book or yet another short novella. This is a tiny, tiny read and it leaves much to be desired. Like, there are setups of “huh something’s going on” but we never get a resolution because it’s just a short story. Maybe those questions will be answered in book 9, or yet another short story.

These are my go to “fun” reads. We all have them. And they are decently written. Unlike some other drivel that is put out there under the guise of publication now. you really can not go wrong with this author, or series. Although after a while the “formula” is predictable. But every genre falls into that here and there

Anyone else feel like they are missing the rest of the story? It just…ended. I was hoping for so much more that what I got. The first Molly Harper book I’ve ever gotten and was disappointed with.

Why oh why are you tormenting me? I keep getting sucked in (as is soooooo delightfully easy to do) to my latest Molly Harper/Half Moon Hollow story but they have been short ones. Goes to show, her stories are like chocolate kisses. The short stories just make you want to have the whole bag. Ophelia’s story of her first instance of college life is funny & quirky. Only she would end up with a pretentious Goth roommate. : -) She has to not only learn the ins and outs of classes which barely scratch the surface of her own history but the social pecking order every freshman endures.
