Booked To Die (Cliff Janeway #1) audiobook free
The author goes into a lot of detail about the business of rare book finding…sometimes, ad nauseum. Tho, I did find this an interesting perspective on which to build a murder mystery. The story drags in the middle, then picks up pace when the protagonist gets serious about solving the mystery. It does make me want to read the next in the series just to see how many more people can get killed over valuable books.

Hadnt read this author before our local book club decided to take it on and I was delightfully surprised by how much I enjoyed it! Not my usual choice I like mysteries but generally prefer a softer cozy touch in the genre, not this distinctly masculine voice and yet, really liked this! Looking forward to reading the other four books in this series. Always great to discover a new author I appreciate for style, voice, information, and draws me quickly into the flow.

Audiobook Booked To Die (Cliff Janeway #1) by John Dunning
A friend of mine recommended this series of books and I was not disappointed in Booked To Die. I\’m from Denver so I enjoyed the discussion of the local area, and I\’ve always been interested in books so the information on rare books was informative. The plot was effective with a twist ending that I didn\’t see coming. I definitely recommend this book to those who enjoys unraveling mysteries.

Audio Booked To Die (Cliff Janeway #1) narrated by George Guidall
I truly enjoyed bouncing between Janeway\’s worlds as his interests were pulled in specific directions. Dunning makes the book about buying books too good to put down! The obsession came from suspecting who the killer was but realizing I had no idea how or why the killing had to occur. Doubling down dug me that much deeper into the blizzard of pages until the final twist with the final period. Ah, of course.

Great story line and characters. You really get behind Cliff Janeway and his passion for being a homicide detective and book collector. The tale told is tightly woven and draws the reader in right away. Mr Dunning gives detailed insight into the world of book collecting and the people who engage in it. Some of the pivotal characters get killed and the writer covers it with proper passion and detail. One of my favorite fiction books!
