Broken Record (Record #5)

This book is the last of Maxwell siblings. This is Savannah’s story. Savannah’s story was originally released in chapters as part of K.A. Linde’s newsletter. I was a little apprehensive to read it as I thought because of how it was written over two years and month by month. I thought it would feel choppy going from one chapter to the next, but it was so cohesive and well written. Anyone picking up this book would never be able to tell that it was orginially released in chapters. Oh Savannah!!! Le sigh!!! Savannah and Lucas have known each other their whole lives. But after years of pushing and pulling, Savannah is finally dating someone else. Savannah and Easton are doing really good, but Savannah needs to figure out who she is and who she loves. Cried big fat tears!!! This book got me in all the feels. K.A. Linde is one that I always know will be a good one.

Read in November 2019 It was so much fun to see the Maxwells again! It was fun getting glimpses of Brady and Liz and Clay. This book was about the youngest Maxwell sibling Savannah. She’s just graduated and moved to DC with her boyfriend of three years, Easton. It should be the best time of life for her, but her lifelong friend Lucas Atwood is back in the picture because he was just drafted to play with the Washington Wizards. This story shows Savi’s struggle to decide who is best for her and to be true to her heart. As with all of Kyla’s stories they are steamy, angsty, and keep you turning the pages. This was just an awesome book.

It was good! It wasn\’t what I expected. I started reading the monthly chapters,begging to make Broken Record a novel.When you said it was going to be published,I stopped the chapters. I knew Savi was a little flighty and young when we met her in earlier books.We watched her grow and settle.Becoming an adult. But boy, she was so back and forth with Easton and Lucas. Lucas knew certain things from growing up with Savi.Easton saw another side. So who had to grow. Savi did. We saw the HEA at the end with Savi and Lucas.But, it\’s not how I thought it would end. Overall really good story to finish the Broken series! I finished in one night! Thank you K.A. for giving your readers their HEA in this series. I truly enjoyed the book and this series.Maybe not what I wanted, but sooooo good!

What a great end to the Record series that is one of my all time favorites. I have loved this series from the beginning and learned about Savannah through the other four books. I\’ve also had the pleasure of reading Savannah\’s story through K.A. Linde\’s monthly newsletter for the past two years. Enjoying every moment of the twists and turns (oh the angst!) while rooting for Savannah and Lucas. As a side note, I have to say everyone woman needs a friend like Dylan! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Savannah\’s story cover to cover!! Plus, that epilogue was the icing on the cake! Savannah and Lucas are one of my favorite 2019 book couples.

Savannah and Lucas really put their friendship to the test and try to make a decision about how they feel. Broken Record definitely is a great read and should not be missed.
