BTW: By the Way (After Oscar #3)

Usually when it comes to the third or so book in a series I feel like my review is really just for the purpose of letting another reader who already enjoys the author know that yep, they did it again. It’s great. Go ahead and read with confidence you won’t be let down. Or the hopefully rarer it was good but maybe not quite as good as the one before. Well I can definitely say that this one is excellent and you should absolutely proceed with confidence in having a good time. But this series is wonderful in a way that not only to I get to reassure those who are already fans, but I can also speak to those on the fence or even new to Lucy/Molly readers. For those on the fence: this series is great because each book has it’s own tone. The first mixed humor and sexiness but I felt was a little more lighthearted. The second was a lot more focused on humor. And this third is heartwarming, sweet, angsty, and just a little (tiny bit, not too much) heavier than the previous two. So if one wasn’t as fantastic for you as you would have liked, no reason to write the whole series off as I truly believe there’s something for everyone. So give this one a try. And while I firmly feel that series should be read in order, although I know from personal experience that things happen, I think that this could technically be read first; again, you won’t get quite as much out of it without knowing all of the background, but you should still thoroughly enjoy it.

The story had all of the wonderful attributes Lucy Lennox, and now her sister, has become known for. Lovable, sweet, endearing, sexy, funny, all the feels men and story. I particularly appreciated the deeper messages too which I felt were especially meaningful in today’s climate. Sawyer as a conversation asking for advice from his cousin in one part and what she says to him really hits home.

So I had a full and wonderful experience with BTW and Sawyer and James and very much look forward to the next in the series and wholeheartedly recommend this and all of the other stories in this series (plus all of Lucy Lennox’s backlist) to anyone who will listen. Happy reading!

BTW is an excellent addition to the After Oscar series. I enjoyed seeing the characters from previous books.
I tried to figure out which author wrote which character, but the blending of their talents makes the piece seamless, yet each character is unique.
The secondary characters are supportive of the storyline, and do what they need to do to ease the story along without taking away from the main characters’ time-on-page.
Sawyer and James are a fun and sexy couple. They play well off each other in ways that are believable, humorous, and passionate.
The underlying story is interesting and kept my attention throughout. James and Sawyer’s reactions in the difficult scenes show an understanding by the authors of the age difference between these two and how it affects their emotions and logic. I am glad they did not make too big of a deal about the age gap, though.
I enjoyed watching these guys flounder their way into their HEA. I laughed, cried, fussed, and cheered. This book is good stuff, and I hated for it to end.
I look forward to more by these authors.

BTW- By the Way- by Lucy Lennox and Molly Maddox was a terrific addition to the After Oscar series. From the moment I read the first book, I have laughed and cried, and BTW did not disappoint. Each book delivered something different and enjoyable- humor, snarkiness, and sometimes angst. James and Sawyer lit the pages of my e-reader from the start; sensuous kisses, flirtatious behavior and all that before the actual hook up. They made me smile, laugh, and shed a few tears. Their personalities grew with each encounter and together they were better than separate.
The secondary characters created a depth of discovery as each person shed light on the lives of the main characters. I cant wait to read Richards story in the next book.
The writing duo of Lennox and Maddox wrote a heart-warming story, of which I have come to expect and appreciate. I look forward to each of their books and barrel through them with anticipation.
If you have not started the After Oscar series read the books in order- each character delivered laughter and levity and you will fall in love with the vivacious Oscar.

A five handcuff review

McBride seems like a beautiful place to call home. Much like Sawyer, I dont think Id ever want to leave if I could have those views every day, including the ones involving the endearing and marvelous James. Youre my green flash… Youre my wish come true. IMHO, I think both Sawyer and James are a wish come true. It wasnt easy but they found their way, and what an incredible and heartwarming way it turned out to be. Wonderful characters, emotion-filled moments and unadulterated love, this book is amazingly fantastic.

Another perfect love story. From beginning to end this book was outstanding. James was terrific, alittle clueless at times but he came around. Sawyer was sweet and strong a great combination. I loved the entire book. The ending was outstanding can’t wait for the next one.
