Claim Me Hard (Bridgewater County #2)

I am soooooo mad I paid for this book! As a reader of a lot of romance and menage romance do not buy this book!! There was no character development, the plot line was predictable as all get out, the sex was sub-par. I really want a refund because good Lawdy I was pissed off. Two fine ass men see a girl and decide shes “the one” but let’s introduce dumb conflict by having one be jaded by a gold digging step mother and then have him over react to “the one” being skittish because her ex used to to beat her and say she was just using you to have a threesome she was apparently reluctant to have in the first place …..now I will say this…If the characters got more developed even though it is a same ole story line this could’ve been better. I get that you don’t always need a good story line, but if you aren’t gonna give me plot make the sex hotter than hell. Please and thank you. DO NOT put yourself through the hell I did.

Book two in the Bridgewater County series is another amazing adventure that is a spinoff from the historical based Bridgewater Menage series but takes place in present day. The town of Bridgewater, Montana, still holds with the founding father principals of two or three alpha dominant males claiming and marrying one woman, and partnering for life. This method has proven successful for over a hundred years and why change what works? The story will read as a standalone. It will have characters from the first book, Ride Me Dirty. Dr. Hannah Lauren Winters is no wallflower. Having gone to Stanford and now working in the ER of a hospital, she has seen and handled it all, and can hold her own. Working with women who come in and have been battered and broken by men, she has counseled and advised them on breaking away and provided the help to do so. Why can’t she listen to her own advice, and it will take another broken woman to make her see she needs to practice what she preaches. Hannah will finally realize that if she is to live, she must escape from her abusive ex-boyfriend, Lieutenant Colonel Bradley Madison. It will require walking away from everything and going under the radar. No cell phone, no vehicle, no ATM, or the use of credit cards. She can’t even be a doctor, or he can find her. When the bus stops in Bridgewater, Montana, Hannah will get off and walk around the quaint western town, and when she misses the bus, she will stay. Now she needs a job, and Jessie will hire her to work at the diner as a waitress, and offer her an apartment over the diner to live. When two men, Cole and Declan, come in each day to sit in her section and flirt, she will learn that not one of them, but both of them what to date her, together. She must remain under the radar of Brad and will go by Hannah Lauren and avoid using anything for him to track. When she learns of the “Bridgewater way of life” she will be shocked but fascinated. Having two men vie for her attention and telling her that she is theirs, even if she doesn’t know it yet, is scary. She is escaping one controlling man, and the thought of two more is more than she wants. With the entire town pushing for Cole, Declan, and Hannah to get together, she is willing to go out on a date with them to the local watering hole. Having two women vouching for the Bridgewater men and their proven way helps for the night, but she plans on only one night. “They believe in making sure she is always taken care of—her problems are their problems. It’s their duty to make sure she is happy—and satisfied.” A life and death situation will open the door for discovery for Hannah and just when she was learning to be happy and trust Cole and Declan; she will feel the need to run. Hannah is a doctor who recently graduated. Her ex is in the military and has taken obsessive possessiveness to a new level of stalking. She fears for her life and gets cash and leaves her life behind to be undetectable until he deploys overseas. No cell phone, no ATM use, no credit cards and she changes her middle name to her last name. She hops off the bus mid route in Bridgewater County, Montana fleeing from California. She takes a job as a waitress at a local diner and the apartment over the diner. She meets lots of people during her lunch and dinner shifts. Among them two handsome cowboys, Cole and Declan, a local rancher and police officer. They flirt and have fun with each other. Hannah doesn’t know Bridgewater’s way of two men marrying and caring for one woman. She doesn’t know that Cole and Declan are sure she is their “One” who will be their wife. They do know she is skittish, doesn’t like being touched suddenly and will avoid talking about her past. The men know it is their job to show Hannah how good they can be together. She is attracted to them both, but surprised and reluctant when they ask her on a date together. The story develops from there until an emergency at the diner gives up many of her secrets and the news helps her ex track her down. See how this trio slowly find love and trust together as they face off against Hannah’s past and forge a new future, together.

Claim Me Hard is the second book in the Bridgewater County series. Just like the first book this one is a steamy and exciting romance that will have you on the edge of your seat. With each addition to the series we are introduced to a unique set of characters. Hannah is a smart doctor who is keeping a guard up on her heart. After running from her crazy ex she stops in the small town of Bridgewater where she keeps her head down and takes a waitressing job to get her by. Cole and Declan can’t believe their luck when they stumbled upon their one. These boys take one look at Hannah and they will stop at nothing to make her theirs. With many obstacles thrown their way, will they each be able to overcome their struggles and claim their happy ending or will things just fall to pieces. This is a story that will have you falling in love with each of the trio and is packed with enough excitement to keep you glued to each page. I look forward to reading more about the Bridgewater County men and their lovely ladies.

Book two sees a cowboy and a cop try to keep their waitress. They know somewhere along the line she’s had it hard. So a gentle hand it needed to bring her into their waiting arms. Because in Bridgewater two sets of arms are better than one. So can Declan and Cole woo and win their waitress? Or will she bolt? And can she truly be free of Brad the abusive boyfriend, who swore she’d be his forever? And when her old life catches up with her, will it prove to Cole that all women are liars? Can they all find their happy ending with each other, or will it just be too much, and they walk away? Another fun filled short story. We met Declan in book one. “Ride me hard”, Declan is the easier going out of the two, I found Cole harder work to like, but once you realise he wants a family, but can’t trust, you want to cheer him on. The theme of abuse is handled with the respect it’s due. There are lots of tender moments, and naughty moments. Again as it’s a short story, they need to get it all done in a matter of days! But if it’s a fun filled sexy time your looking for, then this is the one for you.
