A man with a mysterious job and a past that not many know about come to face another adventure for which he hasn’t signed. Jack Reacher is not an ordinary man to deal with; he has been through things which a normal man usually does not think of in his life.
Those things are a matter of the past now and he does not want to go back to the old life of action and bloodshed. Thus he decides to live a simple life and forgets everything he once used to do. Moving on the road which he does not leads to which city Reacher just carries on in an enjoyable mood. Chicago proves to be a nice stop for him where he plans to rest for a while but a mishap brings the old life back.
DIE TRYING
Jack sees a woman being abducted and when he tries to indulge in the thing he also gets abducted along with the main target. Chained at a place that is far from the hustle and bustle of city life Jack starts observing the girl more deeply and tries to analyze what has happened. The girl who is tied with Jack means everything to the abductor and Jack is not ready to leave the show without the girl.
Lee Child’s primary motive in this series is to take thrill and action side by side. Tripwire and Running Blind are also a fine example of this effort by Lee who tries to give the fans what they desire the most. Johnathan McClain’s voice charms the people and makes them listen to this second adventure of Jack Reacher in detail. Usually, people skip certain parts of such books to reach the end quickly but no such thing is needed in this book.
