Tarrow has a very important role to fill in the clan, right by Hawke and Rev’s side. He is hilariously witty, charming and loyal to his mom and to the clan. He takes his role seriously and often goes above and beyond the call of duty. Dahlia isn’t even a part of a clan, which creates tension, fear, and doubts for her, once she locks eyes with her mate, Tarrow. Her father was burned in the past and thought separating his family would do more good than harm. She grew up believing that being a part of a clan would strip her of her independence and maybe make her be someone she truly isn’t. Of course, Tarrow is here to prove her wrong. You don’t want to miss this. Lila turns up the angst a notch in this book by keeping it real with a good bit of fear and doubt that will try to tear these two apart, at times. She brings her flirty and witty banter and will have you falling in love with Tarrow and Dahlia. As in the previous books of this series, they each have their own battles to get through and with the help of the clan, they manage to come out on top. As always, it was great seeing everyone again!!! I love the sense of family and belonging, regardless of who you are and how you were raised. Lila always nails that perfectly. The story flows and pulls the reader into the world of these bear shifters effortlessly. It is a beautifully crafted work of words and is a must read. I should probably put the disclaimer up that I am addicted to this series. I have been since book one and Engraven only solidified that addiction. I read this book in one very long sitting and really paid for it in the morning. So worth it. That\’s what coffee is for, right? Tarrow was a character I just really connected with on so many levels, plus he is a hottie. The chemistry and sexual tension in this book could be cut with a knife, but it was clean enough for me to recommend it to a very diverse audience. In the shifter realm, I find those few and far between. The only problem with this series is that I want to read a new one as soon as I finish and I have to wait. This book stands alone nicely, but I would recommend starting with book one because after you read this you will want more and it does contain spoilers from the first two books.

I love the names Lila Felix picked for her characters. I think that it gives a peek into the window of the author. Dahlia can scent her mate, but she has concerns because of her father\’s prejudices. Tallow scents her too, but he waits because he senses she is not ready. They accidentally meet and time stands still in my minds eye. Lila did a great job painting a picture of their meeting for the first time. I was semi holding my breath. I\’m pretty sure I fanned myself and said \”Awwwww.\” Tallow has his hands full in getting Dahlia to trust him. I loved the satisfying ending. This book can be read without reading the others, but I think it is even better when you know the previous well-loved characters. Enjoy!

Lila Felix is one of my \’One Click\’ authors and Engraven didn\’t disappoint. Tarrow is probably my favorite character of this series because although he is treated poorly, he never lets it change who he truly is. And when he meets Dahlia, his cinnamon bear, he takes everything she, her parents, and his clan throw at him in stride. He is steady, courageous, and knows when to stand up to those who are bullying him and when to let it slide. Lila\’s books are clean, YA to NA and I would recommend any of her books, including this one to ages 15+. Love her!
