Why have the abused person siding with her abuser? Keith does need help and may be emotionally abusing and neglecting Sam when he has him on the weekends.
Ramsey is not responsible for his brothers death. Why have, Ramsey take this on like its valid? Where is the logic? Yes humans are emotional creatures however we also have logic.
Jordyn not accepting help from anyone isnt strong its prideful. This story line glorifies codependency. Where is the growth in her character. She seems to be stuck in the lie she tells herself.
Couldn’t finish this book after 89% because Jordyn should have a clue by this point in the story. Making Ramsey the bad guy and siding with Keith ridiculous. Ramsey has been on her side and backing her up from the very beginning. He seems to be the only one working on growing up. Yeah he got upset and hit Keith when Jordyn got elbowed and nearly fell off the stairs. Any guy who loves his women is going to have a hard time with that. Kicking him to the curve after that is just thoughtless.

Jordyn is a single mom who shares her son, Sam with her ex Keith, every other weekend. She has Sam most days but she knows it’s important for him to spend time with his father. Keith and Jordyn were high school sweethearts. Young love-young, stupid love, the kind that never grows to maturity and just fizzles out-love. But Sam was a product of that love and Jordyn has no regrets. Sam is the best thing in her life.
On a rare evening with nothing to do, Jordyn and her friend head to a local bar. There they run into old friends from school. Ramsey happens to be one of them.
After high school, Ramsey took a construction job with his Uncle Tom. Uncle Tom and his wife Aunt Millie raised Ramsey from a young age into the sexy, flirty alpha he is today.
A bar scuffle ensues and Jordyn finds herself alone with Ramsey where they tentatively agree to meet again. Nothing is set in stone though. Rams knows they could have fun together if Jordyn would just give him a chance. Jordyn is gun shy and has been out of the game for a while. She’s got Sam to consider and an ex that just can’t seem to get his act together.
Jordyn is used to living a hard life, barely getting by and always feeling the guilt that comes with raising a son, basically, alone. Rams is easy. Easy to talk to. Easy to flirt with. And the sex is intense and mind blowing, and even that’s easy. Something had to give and it wasn’t long before it would.
Jordyn is sassy, strong and taking control of her life. Rams is bold, dangerous and too charming for his own good.
A COMPLEX STORYLINE THAT WAS RAW AND REAL AS WELL AS SEXYAND FLIRTY !
THE SECONDARY CHARACTERS REALLY ADDED DIMENSION AND ROUNDED OUT THE STORY ! REAL LIFE DIALOGUE KEPT THE STORY FLOWING ! JAXSON’S WRITING STYLE WILL KEEP YOU INVESTED UNTIL THE VERY LAST PAGE ! ! ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND-A DEFINITE MUST READ ! ! !

Audiobook Every Other Weekend by Jaxson Kidman
I only kept on reading so that I could find out the “big” secret that he had. It was so so totally lame and also she kept on feeling sorry for herself making it seem that single mothers can’t have a life. Argh!

Audio Every Other Weekend narrated by Alexander Cendese Lauren Sweet
Every Other Weekend is the book that I have been waiting for Jaxson to write for the last two and a half years! This book is hands down the best of the best. I couldnt believe how relatable this story was. Jordyn was the most incredible female character Jaxson has ever written. She is strong, witty, tough, loyal, and a wonderful mother. I fell in love with Ramsey right out of the gate! These two couldnt have been more perfect for each other. I enjoyed watching their love story unfold piece by piece and couldnt wait for this story to finish unfolding. And let me not forget the most adorable five year old ever – Sam. He was the perfect little scene stealer! This book was the total package and another absolute five-star must read.

When I bought this book it had 70+ 5 Star reviews. I wanted to give this author another chance, as I did not like Somebody Else. I disliked it so much I did not purchase No Body Else. But I ended up really liking this book. With the small exception of Ramsey calling Jordyn darling. It got to the point where is stopped being an endearment but a little be annoying. But it had no bearing on my review.
This was definitely a slow burn romance. It was deeply felt and one I wasn’t prepared for. It was simple. It was entertaining. I was completely enthralled. I had a hard time with Keith (Jordyn’s baby daddy). I am sure this is as close as you get to real life. I disliked him. He was evil. He was ugly. I don’t have a baby daddy nor do I have children. But I can assume this happenes in real life. The struggle, it was real. The torment. The fighting. I hated it. But it was a necessary evil to put this story together. I liked Ramsey and Jordyn together. I liked that he brought her into his family. I had mixed emotions and yet I am satisfied. I am really glad there was no proposal. I think it would have degraded the story a bit. But the hint was there. That worked.
I believe this author has redeemed himself and I am willing to purchase future works. I’m really glad I read this. It put things into perspective. I really enjoyed this read.
