I found this book difficult to read. The constant use of abbreviations for the jobs like QC and others made it hard to follow. I also found the end annoying because it was just obvious they want to sell more books. I generally like Jeffrey Archers books but this one was highly disappointing. He had nothing to say.

The low intellect at both police and museum aside, this book is just a warm up to the next book, because nothing really happens except for what happened in the first book. I’m sufficiently entertained to keep going but this might fit better under youth/teenage books.

Audiobook Hidden in Plain Sight (Detective William Warwick #2) by Jeffrey Archer
A very abrupt ending, unsatisfying and the book gives the impression of a prequel to the next installment (coming June/July next year). I never got that impression with the Clifton chronicles, every book was a story in itself. Disappointing and unnecessary for a writer in Jeffey Archer’s class.

Audio Hidden in Plain Sight (Detective William Warwick #2) narrated by George Blagden
Although I still like reading Archer’s books, I don’t find it as enjoyable as in the past. Too often I can predict the events. Maybe I have read too many of his books. I will read the next one in the series as I like his books, but I do not enjoy it as much as I used to. Time will tell.

I found this Jeffrey Archer book to be disappointing compared with his previous novels. I would have liked a family tree as in some other novels to remember connections since long time since last novel. I dont believe you could read this book as a stand alone…too many references to past book, or info not understood without previous knowledge, and most of excitement happens in last few chapters only to set you up for the next book.
