I knew from the blurb this would be a great story, but with Vonda Sinclair working her magic with words and descriptions, it was so much more! Highland Chief, Cyrus MacKenzie, had earned his new title, Earl of Stornmor and was ready to get married and sire a heir. He had his eye on the daughter of a marquess Lily and just needed to meet her and hopefully see she was perfect When he, his sister and brothers travel to the Midsummer celebration at their friend, Rebbie\’s castle and he finally meets Lily, he is drawn to the woman sitting at her side, Lady Elspeth Seton, Baroness Grey. Why could this not have been Lily? Elspeth, a businesswoman who owns a dress shop, is there with her friend to show off the gowns she has made and hopefully earn business. When she met Cyrus she thought, \”He was tall and brawny…good heavens, \’haps the tallest brawniest man she had ever laid eyes on. She had never seen shoulders so broad. When his potent dark gaze, he\’d seemed reluctant to look away, as …bizarrely..she had been.\” Sigh. Now enters the villain who is trying to intimidate her and buy her property, which she declines to sale. One thing leads to another and it ends up she needs Cyrus\’s help. She needs him and he cannot help but come to her aid. How could this possibly end? A fantastic addition to this series that only makes me want to read more! I truly fell in love with Cyrus and Elspeth and I know you will too!

I have waited on this book for a while, and believe me, it was worth the wait!!! I have read every book Vonda Sinclair has written. I gave this book 5 stars as I have with all her books! She has never failed to give me romance, exceptional characters, passion and excitement! I loved Elsbeth and Cyrus….they were meant to be together!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel regarding the love Story of Cyrus and Elspeth as their admiration grows for each other through much trials and tribulations caused by her greedy step son. Henry Dalacroy had her kidnapped to force the deeds of all of her properties, even those who were not connected to his fath Reefs estate state, but here by her father\’s estate, a few of those estates he had no rights to as being hers from a legacy from Her father\’s estate. From her marriage a castle was being held for her son for when he reached his majority .During All of these trials and tribulations a good strong love was found. A beautiful story.

I listened to the story on Audible. Elspeth is completely happy working in her shops and creating beautiful gowns for her wealthy customers. Cyrus is in search of a titled wealthy young lady to marry. Elspeth has problems at home and the gathering she has been invited to is not as much fun as she thought it would be so she takes off home but her coach crashes and Cyrus decides to take her home and make sure she is alright before leaving. This is just the beginning of her problems. The trials they go through to find out who is tormenting Elspeth causes them to face some big issues. Dave Gillies as narrator is absolutely wonderful at bringing each and every word to life. His voice and energy will make you break out in chill bumps and make you feel like you are there…

What a terrific love story with everything you can imagine. Steamy heat, thrilling adventure, terror, sexy highlander, an awful villain and more. No lagging in this exciting romance. One thing after another kept me glued to this book. The characters were so interesting and the plot had many up and downs. Truly a tense and thrilling ending and don\’t forget the heat level was high. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good highland love story.
